Holly Jolly December Creating | Amanda Baldwin

Hi Shimmerz Friends & Fans!

Amanda here, and today I am sharing a lil Holly Jolly Christmas inspiration!
I trust you all had a safe & very Merry Christmas,
and now have a ton of Christmas photos to scrap?!
Well, I think I have the best Christmas color combination to share with you today - inspired by peppermint candy canes, no less!
Here's what I'm talkin' 'bout......

I told you it was the BEST!!!
Ga - ga - gorjus!
I've combined my favorite Coloringz: Oh Say Can U Sea

What a stunning combination of our Shimmerz favorites!
Here's what I created with them,

"Holly Jolly"

Sigh! Isn't this so soft, & pretty for Christmas?!
I just love the fresh & modern look this creates - so light and playful!
Perfect for my 2 darlings in the photo!
Here's a closer look for you....

Wow!
I have combined these stunning colors with a couple of cut files, as well as Elle's Studio scrapbook supplies.
I start by creating my mixed media bases which my cut files layer onto.
I use the packaging technique and add lots of color droplets and splatters too!
Once dry, I apply the tiny dots stencil with Dazzlerz Spun Sugar.
I also spray the snowflake cut files with that soft jade color, Coloringz: Oh Say Can U Sea, and then give a light coat of Shimmeringz: Baby's Breath for a gentle hint of shimmery goodness!
I love how this turns out!
You can see the entire process in my video HERE.

Here's a few close-ups for you....

Those colors are just divine! Such a perfect combination!
Oh, & that cut file is a FREEBIE! Yesss!
I've popped a link for it in the description box on my channel - so be sure to check it out & subscribe to Happy Arty Days too!

That snowflake cut file is gorgeous!
It's called 'Snowed In', and is another Freebie - from The Cut Shoppe!
I love the soft hint of shimmer that the Baby's Breath adds to the Coloringz: Oh Say Can U Sea - so pretty!!!
And such a great way to add gentle interest to my photo cluster!

So.much.gorgeousness!!!

Winter card with Yuko

Hello! Shimmerz fun!
Today I made a card "joy" image of winter.
I used a lot of my favorite color blue!

【joy】
I used a lot of kinds of snow crystals.
Chip board, punch, die-cut, etc.
It painted gesso to all.And it was a mist over it.

Blue was used but two colors, and easy to use because shading can be expressed.

It is beautiful with sparkling When  mist the Baby’sBreath in the entire last.

VIBEZ Jeni B Blue

Celebrate Card with Beck BT

Hi Everyone, I've been at it creating another mixed media card for you to enjoy and hopefully be inspired.  They do take a little more time mixing different mediums and creating layers, but the finished card is so much more special I think.  I love that you can see the 'art' in it.

For my card today I enjoyed playing with a few different yummy Shimmerz products:

Shimmerz Dazzlers - Coral me Crazy & Sea U in the Mountain
Shimmerz Inklingz - Precious Posey & Dear John Letter
Shimmerz Creameez - Daffodil & She Packs a Punch
Shimmeringz - Baby's Breath
Vibez - Egg Noggin
Spritz - Cotton Candy

I used them in various ways and I'll share on that in the close up pictures below

I added colour to the flowers with the Shimmerz Creameez in She packs a Punch as well as watercolour effects to the background with all the Creameez and Inklingz listed above.

For some added splatter I mixed the Shimmeringz - Baby's Breath, Vibez in Egg Noggin and Spritz in Cotton Candy to match in with my color tones and added a little splatter to the card.

Stencilling with the Dazzlers is such a dream!  I used the Sea U in the mountain with a stencil to create that yummy background texture.

I achieved beautiful lustre and texture with the Coral me Crazy Dazzlers on the paper die cut followed by heating with a heat gun until I bubbled a little.

Thanks so much for heading over to the blog today to check out my project!  I hope I've inspired you and shown you how lovely a little Shimmerz mixed media can be on your sweet cards.

Till next time
xxxBeck BT

PEARLZ Powder Puff gives it a beautiful shiny finishing touch to it.

VIBEZ Rolling in the Hay
Shimmerz Coffee

Frame It .. with Shimmerz!

by Carrie Ferrier
Lately I've really been into using my scrapbook supplies to make simple framed art. Shimmerz is a major part of both of my framed pieces I'm sharing today.

On this framed piece, I simply spritzed Shimmerz Vertigre and Barn Door on the background cardstock before I added my word stamps and ribbon. I've been wanting to make this simple framed piece using these word stamps for a long time .. pretty powerful to me. This is in my scrapbook room, and I'm also making several more for Christmas gifts.

On this framed piece, I wanted to decorate the frame in a simple way that would aid in showcasing the photo of my beautiful niece on her wedding day. I took a plain white prima flower and spritzed it with a combo of Shimmerz Bed or Roses, Baby Breath, a fine spritz of Vertigre, and finished it off with some Barn Door.

I absolutely adore how, with just a little bit of Shimmerz, a project gets that final "oomph" of goodness.

That Autumn Feeling

Spiced Cider happens to be my new favorite Shimmerz Blingz color.
I painted it directly on chipboard and it turned out so beautiful that it made center-stage on my Autumn-themed card! Love. it.

Speaking of Autumn, I created the following layout for my November family calender. We've yet to take a family photo (planned for this Sunday) which will be added soon.

I know it's hard to tell in photos...can you see the Baby's Breath spritzed onto the trees?

And another favorite, Penny Pincher in the background?

I added just a bit of Mango Madness to complete my Autumn layout.

Thanks for stopping by, have a Shimmery day!

Art book!

I love playing with the canvas: color it with any kind of colors; stamp; paste flowers, newspaper clippings, pictures ....

Thanks to Shimmerz, now I can make my paintings, and even more, with a new effect. The Shimmerz products are water based paints and they can be used to tone other water based paints down.

Want do you to see?

One day I took a piece of cloth and ..... after having used very much gesso, glue, Water-soluble wax pastel color, watercolors, some rub ons ... here is the final result.

But my work could not be said finished, I was still unsatisfied.I took Babys Breath Shimmerz Spritz and I sprayed, sprayed, sprayed...

The wax pastel and watercolors dissolved and mixed with Babys Breath Shimmerz Spritz. All this made brilliant the whole canvas. The flowers seem dewy.

Now is a good job! I used my painting as a cover of a small art book.

The pages of my art book are sheets 12x12 folded and bound. I drew a small black border around the edges and then I sprayed Babys Breath Shimmerz Spritz to blend it.

I inserted, between the sheets, of the white flowers colored with Vibez and Shimmerz Spritz. I used : Sapphire Shimmerz Spritz, Sunset Strip Vibez, Red-Y or Not Vibez, Hermitte Frog Vibez, Vertigre Vibez and Grape Scape Vibez.

Have a great day with creativity!

Rock-N-Roll Background with Shimmerz Paints

I was out taking pictures of my kids in the yard, when my youngest struck this silly post and said, "Mom! Look at me! I'm a Rock Star!" *giggle* That girl cracks me up every single day . . . I'm so glad I had my camera around my neck ready to capture that little tidbit of her personality.

When I went to scrapbook the photo, I really wanted to play up the rock-n-roll theme. I chose a color scheme of black, white, and hot pink and added lots of silver studs. But it felt a little too elegant . . . I needed to "grunge" it up a bit.

I added a rock star feel by spritzing the background cardstock with Baby's Breath and Cotton Candy Spritz. Next I dripped Hottie Pink Blingz and Pink Shimmerz paint here-and-there.

I allowed the paint to dry for a minute and then wiped most of it away, leaving the dried edges of the paint drops. It was an experiment, but it turned out exactly the way I wanted it to. :) LOVE when that happens!

Rock on, Shimmer On! :)

Flowers, Babies, & Shimmerz - Oh My!

Playing with Shimmerz is one of the highlights of my scrapping these days. I am happy to share with you one of my new favorite lay-outs. It features hand made flowers, a ruffle ribbon and of course Shimmerz.

To complete this lay-out I used Shimmerz Baby's Breath Spritz on the ruffle ribbon. I allowed that to dry while applying Shimmerz Candle Light to the center of one flower and the journaling label. To the top flower I added Shimmerz Sky Blue (possibly my new favorite!). I also used Sky Blue to carefully trace along a flower and a swirl in the right hand corner of the lay-out.
