Paste-eez meets Shimmerz Sprays for a colorful explosion

Hey everyone, Beck BT here again this time with a scrapbook page.  I am really enjoying creating scrapbook pages lately and this one is no exception.  I wanted to create a fun mix of colors and hitting my Shimmerz products make it just so easy.

Shimmerz Products Used:

Paste-eez - Peach Fuzz
Coloringz - No Yoking
Vibez - Pop Art Pink
Spritz - Ruby
Vibez - Egg Noggin'
Vibez - Jeni B Bleu

Other products:
Simple Stories - Good day Sunshine collection papers
Simple Stories - Good day Sunshine collection sticker elements
Simple Stories enamel dots
Silhouette 'love' cut file
Indigoblu Stencil

Shimmery fun:
To create my page I used my Shimmers to create a fun background base for my page.

I started out by applying the paste-eez through a stencil, graduating it lighter as I moved toward the sides of the page.

Next I added fun color to the background by splattering various colours featured in my photo to tie the photo into the page and accent it.

I never planned on the big yellow splat, but I must say I kinda like it so didn't set out to hide it.

I hope you enjoyed my share today!

Grunging it up with Beck BT

Hey Everyone, it's Beck BT here today grunging it up on a fun masculine scrapbook page.  I had so much fun creating this page of my boys.  It was so much fun to create the layers of color and texture on the page with the help of some of my favorite Shimmerz products!

Products used:
Shimmerz Texturez - Gritty Graphite
Shimmerz Texturez - Tidy Widy
Shimmerz Paste-eez - Baby Boy Blue
Acritonez - Tar Tar

I started out on my page by creating the background using a stencil I had previously stencilled with on the background of another page.  I used the excess on my stencil to stamp with the Texturez pastes in both colours listed above onto the background of some white cardstock and this was the base for my page.

Next I added the Paste-Eez over the top brusing up and down. These are SO SO yummy!  They are like tubs of soft goodness spreading onto the page so easily.  I love that they are not opaque either so you can still see the sweet layers peeking out from underneath.

For the darker black I used the AcriTonez to add some black stamping.  This was so cool for this technique as the AcriTonez need no priming at all and give immediate opaque coverage.  Sometimes layering non opaque and opaque can give stunning effects.

Here are some more pictures of my page for you to get up close with all the layers.  As you can see I teamed my background up with some of my favorite papers from Simple Stories and also some elements from Coco Vanilla Studio.

I hope you enjoyed my share today!!  Keep scrolling down to see how you can get some free paint!

Splashes of color to accent pattern papers

Hey it's Beck BT here today with a new share.  It's the new year and I have a want to create with more pattern papers teaming them up with my mixed media style.  I love how you can use various mediums to make pattern papers shine or in this case compliment them perfectly!

 Shimmerz Products:

Aqua Hues in:
Pot-O-Gold
Blue Moon
Leapin' Lizard
Red Hot
14 Carrots
Inter-BLACK-Tic
                                                                   Little Boy Blue

I had some pattern papers perfect for my subject along with a fun silouhette cut that I took out of one of the pattern paper sheets.  I used the collection of pattern papers to choose my colors for my background matching them in perfectly.  As I was going to use a number of colors I decided on only using one medium for my page and I knew the Aqua Huez would be perfect!

I created a short video showing the process so you can see how the background comes together.  Remember you can match as little or as many colours as needed to compliment your papers.

Here are some more pics of my scrapbook page so you can get up close with the colorful goodness!

Creating inspiration prompts for the New Year

Happy New Year!  It's Beck Beattie here to share with you a fun planner project.  So the new year is here, and I'm getting myself organised!  I would like to keep myself inspired and want to have some little prompts and words of focus for the year ahead.  Although I haven't yet created my 'wish list' - still thinking on those, my card is ready to go and i'll add some wishes using a typewriter and then cut them into strips before adding to the card.

I created it to be able to be affixed to any part of the planner with a bulldog clip.  This will enable it to move with the dates and always be a great visual memory enabling me to keep focus on achieving those 'wishes'

To create the background on my card which you could use this technique on any project you desire... maybe a scrapbook page or a card or even an Art Journal page.

I started out with the die and some Shimmerz Aqua huez.  I took 2 pieces of white cardstock and die cut one, the other forming the base of my card.

I then used the die cut as a stencil an painted the colour through onto the card with the Little Boy Blue at the top and the Gray Matter at the bottom, blending them in the middle.

Doing this I found I had color on my die cut, I added a little more and then stamped that onto some cardstock for another project

As you can see it quickly came together!  Then adhering all the elements together with paper and embellishments it came together rather quickly.  I also added an additional piece of the pattern paper as a base for the white cardstock cutting it slightly larger to achieve a decorative boarder around the card.

Shimmerz Products Used:

Aqua Huez in 'Little Boy Blue'
Aqua Huez in 'Gray Matter'

Other products used:
Fundamentals Doilies
Fundamentals Sentiment toppers
Bella True Romanic Paperz 'Love'
Kaisercraft Mixed Media circles die
White cardstock
Fun Stampers Journey Planner

Hope you enjoyed my share today,  and maybe found some inspiration for the new year ahead!
