Hello. It's Naomi here and I'd like to share a very summery LO today.

Here is it.

I love these pretty colours together.
Hope you are having a lovely summer if you are in the Northern hemisphere and a beautiful day wherever you are anyway!
I hope you are having a great warm week! It is freezing on the east coast, so I need to create something that made me warm and happy to push past the cold weather we are experiencing! :) Nothing can fix the cold weather blues quicker than playing with some paint and mist! :) Today is all about the ink layers! I love to mix colors that do not "match" on top of each other.
These colors remind me of summer and our vacation in AZ this year. Hope you are inspired to create with colors that may not normally use or do not match with your photos!

I love to use masks to create misted backgrounds. Chipboard shapes or supply packaging are perfect tools to use when misting. I love creating with cardstock first and adding the layers of paint and ink!
My family is very important to me and I love this photo of me and my daughter Synai at the Grand Canyon this summer. I couldn't think of more perfect beautiful moment to share than with my family.
Spiced Cider happens to be my new favorite Shimmerz Blingz color. I painted it directly on chipboard and it turned out so beautiful that it made center-stage on my Autumn-themed card! Love. it.
Speaking of Autumn, I created the following layout for my November family calender. We've yet to take a family photo (planned for this Sunday) which will be added soon.
I know it's hard to tell in photos...can you see the Baby's Breath spritzed onto the trees?
And another favorite, Penny Pincher in the background?
I added just a bit of Mango Madness to complete my Autumn layout.
Hi, Lucy Edson here with my first video tutorial for Shimmerz!
Shimmerz Spritz is perfect for masking on fabric as you can see on this video I made. It added an amazing sheen and color to my masked mini quilt. Take a look at how I started this project:
I added a little more misting to this after I finished the video - the dress form is Chickadee Spritzthe shadow masking, Ruby Spritz and then I added a little 4 Leaf Clover on the right side and Mango Madness over the left edge of the Ruby to add a little more color.
To make my sample into a mini quilt: I layered the masked fabric with cotton batting and a cotton backing, creating a quilt sandwich and with light yellow embroidery thread, free motion quiltied the outline of the dress form first and filled the background with a random pattern. After completing the quilting I straightened the edges and zig-zag stitched them to stop any fraying.
Then, hand stitched some paper doilys onto the sides and layered a few embellishments.
The top has some gold Hambly rub-ons applied after the quilting - I love the look of rub-ons on fabric.
I have some other samples from creating my video and I'll share those with you as I complete them. Thanks and I hope you enjoy another way to play with your Shimmerz Spritz! To see all of the DT videos together in one place visit the Ed Team Vlog.
