Catch the right moment by Veronika Senova

Hello scrappy friends, Veronika here with new layout.  I was scrapping picture of my younger who just discovered beauty of photographing. I wanted to use camera cut file so I was looking for it on Etsy and found this beautiful camera with flowers. It gave me idea for whole layout immediately.

Firstly I cut my cutfile with my Silhouette cameo and peel main part from sticky matt, I keep flower laeves there as I wanted to color them. Then I took out my pinks and blues by Shimmerz paints :) For backround I used Dont rain on my parade and Ahoy Matey which are must haves for every Navy lover (as Im :) and bit of Rip von Periwinkle. I just sprayed them on my glass mat and with brush spread everywhere I needed. Together with water was colors  perfectly mixed  and created background exactly as I wanted. At the end I added few splatters.

I kept it drying and in meanwhile I chose Shimmerz for flowers. For blue one I went for Rip von Periwinkle with touch of Pink A Boo and for the rest I used mix of  Bahama Mamma, Crimson Tide, Pink A Boo and She Packs a Punch. After everything completely dried, i adhered cutfile to my background and then adhered leaves  with foam squares to add dimension into the cutfile.

I added my photo backed with two patterned papers, combination of three puffy alphas to create my title and few embellishments - golden gems, enamel dots , cute camera , bee and flowers.
At the end I added very few splatters with Miner,  Miner 49er to add little something for final touch and I really like the result.

Hope you like my layout and see you  next time

I love you Bunches & Bunches! || February Color Kitz with Natalie Dill

Hey friends! Natalie here today using the February color kitz. They're so gorgeous, and perfect for a month of love!

The Kitz contain:

  • Angel Wings Shimmerz
  • Gold-N-Roses Blingz
  • Pink-a-Boo Inklingz
  • *NEW* Cloud Wine Vibez
  • *NEW* Age Before Ruby Coloringz
  • 1 exclusive layered process "Rosezcut file created by Shimmerz Paints
  • 1 set of "My Better Half" Dotz
  • 1 package of Rinestonez
  • 1 diamond stencil

I used the Angel Wings Shimmerz to paint the entire background of my gessoed white cardstock to create a shimmering base for my background. Find my entire process video on my channel.

I used a brayer to apply the Cloud Wine and Age before Ruby sprays and Gold-N-Roses Blingz to rose stampts and stamped atop the gessoed background.

I also sprayed the diamond stencil with the Cloud Wine Vibez and used it as a stamp alongside the stamped floral.

I then used a brush and water to fade portions of the stamped background.

While the background dried, I painted the cut file roses I cut out of gessoed cardstock on my Cricut. I added some Ice Sage Inklingz and Olive Branch Spritz to the leaves of the roses. I tinted the petals with Gold-N-Roses Blingz and Pink-a-Boo Inklingz.

I laid out mypage in a diagonal pattern and created a gold title that says "I love you bunches and bunches," since flowers come in bunches.  I used one of the adorable Dotz for the ampersand in the title.

I added some additional foliage to my roses in green and gold. As well as gold and black splatters with gold gems and red pearls.

I hope you go grab your  own February Color Kitz. I can't wait to see what you all make!!

Color Kitz for the Besties with Natalie

Hey friends, Natalie here with some new inspiration using this month's Missy Whidden September color Kitz! The price on this kitz is $18.95.

The Missy Whidden Color Kit includes:
  • Coloringz Well Blue Me Down
  • Shimmerz Pinko de Mayo
  • Inklingz First Blush
  • Inklingz Good as Gold
  • 3 exclusive Dotz
  • Exclusive Cut File by Paige Evans

I love these girly colors, and for someone who doesn't typically make many "girly" pages, I decided to change things up! I also am SO ready for fall, so I decided to embellish the exclusive cut file with some fall leaves.

I applied clear gesso to a white piece of cardstock and threw all 4 of these colors down in different sections. They dried so beautifully, and then I used the paper to cut out different leave shapes.

You can see the full process here on my YouTube channel.

Teal, pink & gold as a fall palette is unique to me & I love it! The muted color I chose to cut out the ampersand cut file really allows the fall leaves colored with the Kitz to pop.

I applied clear gesso to my background paper in order to add splatters with Whale Blue me Down, Pinko de Mayo and Good as Gold. The gesso makes the colors dry vibrantly rather than soaking into the paper. I added some succulent die cuts for an additional fall vibe.

The gold really pops out the most to me overall! I also added sequins and some turquoise pearls from my stash for additional texture.

Creating your own "patterned" paper for die cuts is a great way to use controlled mixed media on a scrapbook page if the process makes you nervous. Spreading the inks and paints on a gessoed paper is basically foolproof because when you die cut, they turn out beautifully!

The exclusive Dotz add some great dimension to the page. I love to use them in embellishment clusters.

I love all the texture and dimension, most of which comes from bending up portions of  the exclusive cut file the die cut, painted leaves. The gesso & paint help the paper to be super sturdy which helps with dimension too.

I hope you feel inspired to maybe use some unusual color palettes on your fall layouts and let the design and  other elements set the seasonal tone! I had so much fun creating this layout, and you and still grab a Missy Kitz on the Shimmerz website.

You can also grab a September Color Kitz here for a more traditional fall color scheme.

Thank you for looking today!

Today Scrapbook Layout | Katty Miranda

Hello friends! Katty here to share another 12x12 layout with you all. I am scrapping a sequence of photos of my niece and my mom. My niece gives the best hugs. She is the sweetest.
I began with a floral embroidery stencil and my Shimmerz Dazzlerz in the color Spun Sugar. I used it on white cardstock. I used Spun Sugar to create a neutral base.
To add color to the flowers, I used several colors. I used a combination of an Inklingz in the color Bahama Mama and a Creameez in the color Refresh Mint for some of the flowers and a combination of two Creameez in  Berry Hot and Sky's the Limit for the other flowers. I then fussy cut the flowers.

I pulled out a mint green paper from my stash. I arranged my three photos in the center of the layout and added a simple layer of tracing paper behind all three photos. I then raised them up on foam. I then clustered the flowers underneath the pictures and added some leaves I had previously cut out on my Silhouette Cameo.

I used a Teresa Collins diagonal stripe stencil with the Dazzlerz in Spun Sugar and used the same four colors to color in between the stripes. I cut out strips and added two in the top right and two on the bottom left of the layout. In between the strips of color I added white drops using Nuvo Drops. I also added Nuvo Drops to the flowers for some extra detail.

I used a Heidi Swapp acetate word in a coordinating coral color as my tittle and a few random embellishments from my stash. At first I wasn't sure about combining all of these colors but  in the end I really like how it turned out.
There is a video on my channel if you'd like to watch my process:

Products Used:
Dazzlerz: Spun Sugar
Inklingz: Bahama Mama
Creameez: Berry Hot, Refresh Mint, Sky's the Limit
Thanks so much for stopping by, remember.......
XOXO

Spring is in the air

Hi Everyone, it is Beck BT here and today I'm going all floral... why do you ask?  Because FINALLY Spring seems to have hit Melbourne!  Yes I'm so happy to say the weather is finally warming up a little even if we are having some extremes from one day to the next with the air conditioning in fine force one day to the heater being fired up the next!

So for my project today I created a sweet card using some Shimmerz Creameez in the main.

Shimmerz Products used-

Pocket and background:
Creameez - Firm Foundation
Creameez - Piggy Pink
Creameez - Trippin' in the Tropics

Flowers:
Creameez - Blue Lagoon
Creameez - Boogie Boardin Blue
Creameez - No One's Chrome
Shimmerz - Tickle Me Turquoise

For the pocket I first added the Creameez in layers to a canvas sheet and then die cut the pocket.  I love how this give a sweet material look to the pocket as though it was taken off a piece of clothing.

To create the sweet flowers I added layers of creameez again but this time to some cardstock.  I added the Inklingz as the last layer.  After drying off each layer at a time I die cut the flowers and then layered them finishing them with a metallic center.  Who needs to buy expensive flowers?  I love how I can make my own in the colors I desire so easily.

Adding some of the Piggy Pink Creameez to the background of the white cardstock base really softens the overall effect of the card.  Adding some splatters in the colours featured in the flowers really helps to tie them into the overall design of the card.

I hope you enjoyed my share today and found some inspiration.  I also hope the weather wherever in the world you are is being kind to your liking!
