Just Us Layout | Katty Miranda

Hello friends! Katty here to share a 12x12 layout with you all. I am scrapping an older photo of me and my adorable neice. She was about 8 months old here. She was the cutest baby, well she still is the cutest. I printed my photo in black and white so that I could create some fun colorful florals which is something I love to do.

I began with two stencils by The Crafters Workshop. One has leaves and the other has flowers. I used my Dazzlerz Texture paste through the stencils. For the leaves I used two colors, the Sea U in the mornin and Sour Apple. For the flowers, I used Pucker up Pink, Coral me Crazy and Dreamscicle. Once they were dry, I used  my fussy cutting scissors and cut the images out.

I wanted to create some larger flowers so I used the new Acritonez and a very complicated and advanced technique, lol, just kidding, I drew the flowers with the tip of my fingers. I used the acritonez in Pinkadelic and Orange U Glad, I mixed in some if the white Acritonez, called 3 sheets to the wind and blended it with the paint, then I used the same white with a small brush and painted a few white details on the flowers.

I arranged the flowers on a white Cardstock and added my photo in the center. I used a piece of patterned paper to mat my photo and added some dimensional foam behind it. I added a simple tittle which I placed on velum and cut it out.
I added some splatters using a Vibez in Pop Art Pink and a Coloringz in Pink Stilettos.

To finish it off I used a scallop doily border punch and punched out the top and the bottom of the white cardstock. I added a matching green cardstock behind as a mat. In the end the layout turned out super simple and I love this mix of colors.
There is a video on my channel if you'd like to watch my process:

A little goes a long way with Shimmerz Dazzlers

Hey there HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

It's Beck BT here today to share with you a sweet Valentines day Card perfect for those of you running a little late in getting one made for your sweet heart.  This card is super fun and thanks to Dazzlers has a lot of punch for not much product!

For my card today I used:

Shimmerz Paintz Dazzlerz in Sea U in the Mornin’

The Process:

  1. Take a piece of white cardstock and make the base of the card to your ideal size
  2. Adhere an additional piece of cardstock in a matching colour cut slightly smaller than the card base centered
  3. Cut a piece of white cardstock again slightly smaller than the colored cardstock.  Layer your desired stencil over the top (I used TCW542 - Rug) and stencil some of the divine Dazzlers paste over the top.  You could choose any of these divine colours or even make a series of them in different colours.  Allow to dry
  4. Adhere centered to the card with some dimension added in between. I like to use discarded corrugated cardboard cut slightly smaller than the piece I want to adhere for this as it gives a nice flat finish.
  5. Finish off the card with your chosen sentiments (I chose some Kaisercraft die cut elements) and some matching enamel dots.

Here is another pic so you can get up a little closer and see the beautiful shimmer as it catches the light.

Thanks so much for heading over to the blog today to check out my project!  I hope I've inspired you and shown you how lovely a little Shimmerz Paints can go a long way to creating an amazing card!

Dazzling Fun with Beck BT

Hey there it's Beck BT here today to share with you a fun couple of cards I made using the yummy Shimmerz Dazzlers pastes.  I just love how fun and easy these cards were to make so I thought I would share with you a little tutorial to go with it!

For the first card you need to lay your desired stencil over your white cardstock.  I used Fun Stampers Journey stencil for my background stencilling.  Then using each of the three Dazzlers pastes, spread them as shown below. Carefully lift and you are left with the most gorgeous creamy shimmery background.

I simply added my sentiment which is from the RG Make Amazing Collection stamped with StazOn onto some clear acetate and then cut out.  Adhere to the paste gently while still wet to save on having to glue it.   Finish off with some matching enamel does and adhered to a card base with one of the papers from the Make Amazing collection of ombre black and grey a perfect contrast to the colourful cardfront.

Working fairly quickly I took my stencil that still had some paste on it and flipped it over to add the pattern to another piece of white cardstock.  Using a breyer I applied some pressure then gently lifted the stencil

Finished off with the same stamped sentiment and enamel dots.  Again added to a card base with one of the papers from the Make Amazing collection of ombre black and grey.

For my cards today I used the follwoing Shimmerz products:

Shimmerz Dazzlers Lemon Drop
Coral Me Crazy
Sea U in the Mornin'
