Journal With Irit

Hi! Irit here and I'm so excited to share my latest projects for Shimmerz! For the month of May I decided to play in my art journal. Here's what I created-

I started with AcriTonez in 3 Sheets to the Wind and Pinkadelic, and the rest of the mess was using Coloringz in Pink Stilettos, Pretty in Pink and No Yoking. You can see the entire process in the video tutorial I prepared!

Here are some close ups, and don't forget to mention my name when placing an order on the Shimmerz site to receive a freebie!

Just Us Layout | Katty Miranda

Hello friends! Katty here to share a 12x12 layout with you all. I am scrapping an older photo of me and my adorable neice. She was about 8 months old here. She was the cutest baby, well she still is the cutest. I printed my photo in black and white so that I could create some fun colorful florals which is something I love to do.

I began with two stencils by The Crafters Workshop. One has leaves and the other has flowers. I used my Dazzlerz Texture paste through the stencils. For the leaves I used two colors, the Sea U in the mornin and Sour Apple. For the flowers, I used Pucker up Pink, Coral me Crazy and Dreamscicle. Once they were dry, I used  my fussy cutting scissors and cut the images out.

I wanted to create some larger flowers so I used the new Acritonez and a very complicated and advanced technique, lol, just kidding, I drew the flowers with the tip of my fingers. I used the acritonez in Pinkadelic and Orange U Glad, I mixed in some if the white Acritonez, called 3 sheets to the wind and blended it with the paint, then I used the same white with a small brush and painted a few white details on the flowers.

I arranged the flowers on a white Cardstock and added my photo in the center. I used a piece of patterned paper to mat my photo and added some dimensional foam behind it. I added a simple tittle which I placed on velum and cut it out.
I added some splatters using a Vibez in Pop Art Pink and a Coloringz in Pink Stilettos.

To finish it off I used a scallop doily border punch and punched out the top and the bottom of the white cardstock. I added a matching green cardstock behind as a mat. In the end the layout turned out super simple and I love this mix of colors.
There is a video on my channel if you'd like to watch my process:

Thanks so much for stopping by today and remember...
XOXO

Art Journaling With Irit

Hi! Irit here and I'm so excited to share with you my latest project for Shimmerz. Today I'm showing you how to create a simple and lovely art journal spread using Shimmerz goodies. Here's my finished project-

I started by simply spreading Acritonez in 3 sheets to the wind and pinkadelic. These paints dry super fast, so I could move on to the next step almost immediately.

I added some messy circle lines and lots of splatters with Coloringz in Well Blue Me Down, Glorious Days and Jeni B Blue Vibez.

I love how the ink sprays behave differently on Acritonez. It's almost like a bokeh effect.  Next I added some photos and patterned paper from Maggie Holmes Bloom collection.  To make it feel more like a part of the art journal I colored some of the edges in Sky's the Limit and Refresh mint Creameez.

There's also a video tutorial-

Snapchat Cuties | Scrapbooking Tutorial with Irit

Hi! Irit here with a new project I created using some of the lovely new Acritonez and Pasteez! Here's the finished layout-

To create my background I used AcriTonez in Pinkadelic, Blue My Top and 3 Sheets To The Wind. To get that soft peachy color at the top I added a drop of No Yoking Coloringz  to my white and pink mixture. I spread the colors with an old gift card and let them dry, which takes no time at all. These paints dry super fast, perfect for impatient scrapbookers!

For those fun dots I used Pasteez in Baby Boy Blue and Raspberry Sherbert, and a stencil. I spread the pastes with a palette knife, mixing them in certain areas. The mix beautifully!

There's also, of course, a video tutorial-
