Don't forget you can click here to go shopping in the Shimmerz Paint Products retail store. Type my name, Amy Prior, in the comments to merchant section when checking out in Paypal to receive a free gift!

First up is a layout titled Delight. This layout started off as a white background. I have drawn some circles using a watercolour pencil, then added some Shimmerz Creameez and Inklingz around the circle, before adding more water and fading the circles out back to white.

This layout was so much fun to make and I just love the way it turned out. The gorgeous Shimmerz Creameez and Inklingz work so well together and the colours are so divine.

Next up is a layout titled Princess. For this layout, I have, again, started off with a white background. I have then added lots of water before adding some Shimmerz Creameez and Inklingz to the background water puddle.

When the background water puddle was dry, I have added some Shimmerz Texturez using a Crafters Workshop Stencil and a palette knife. Lastly I have added the Creameez and Inklingz that I have used on the background, to my Blue Fern Chipboard before adding some Glossy Accents to finish the chipboard off.

Finally I have a Kraft based layout to share that I have added lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paint in Sunny to the background. When the Shimmerz was dry, I have added some stencilling using a Crafters Workshop stencil and some Shimmerz Dazzlerz.

Lots of gorgeous paper layers and flowers finished off all these layouts beautifully. I think the Easter colours have been on my mind lately.

Shimmerz Paint Products used for these layouts include:
Shimmerz Inklingz in Beets Me, Me & Blue, Meet Me @ Sunset, Pink-a-Boo, Pugnacious Purple,
Shimmerz Creameez in Berry Hot, Ride the Tide, Get Glowing, Daffodil, Power to the Purple, Piggy Pink, Marshmallow,
Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Tutti Frutti, Spun Sugar,
Shimmerz Shimmerz in Sunny,
Shimmerz Textures in Patina.

Well that is it from me today, be sure to check back tomorrow for more inspiration from our amazing Design Team and until next time, happy scrapping!

Fabulous Happiness with Amy Prior

Hi there Shimmerz fans! Amy Prior back with you all again today, this time sharing a few scrapbooking layouts with you all full of gorgeous bright Shimmerz color!

First up today I have this funky layout full of color and doodling fun. I have started off with a whit background for this one before adding some water followed by some sprays of Shimmerz Coloringz in Pink Stiletto, Don't Citron Me & Heidi Ho Blue Colors.

When the background was dried, I have added tonnes of doodling over the top using a Permanent Black Sharpie. I won't lie, this was a long task but super relaxing hiding away in my happy place while I was doodling.

Lots of dribbles and splats of the Shimmerz Coloringz finished off this background beautifully and I simply have added lots of layers of gorgeous papers and elements around my photo.

Next up I have another bright and funky layout, this time featuring the gorgeous new Shimmerz Creameez paints in Ride the Tide, Berry Hot & Daffodil Colors. Man these Creameez are just so lush to play with I just cannot get enough of them!

For this background, I have firstly added some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Gummy Beary Blue using a fun Crafters Workshop stencil. I have then added lots of water to my background when the dazzlerz was dry, before adding splodges and splatters of the fabulous Shimmerz Creameez. The intense color is just divine.

Again, I have finished off this layout with lots of gorgeous bright and fun layers of papers and embellishments plus I have added lots of gorgeous flowers, flair and resin elements to finish off the layout.

Last but not least, I have a Christmas Layout to share with you all. This layout was again created on a white background, this time adding lots of gorgeous Shimmerz in Royal Red Color to my background and then spraying with some water after adding the color to let it disperse slightly. I just love the funky texture that is achieved by using the Shimmerz paints and the gorgeous pigment of color is amazing!

Next I have added some Shimmerz Inklingz in Miner Miner 49er color. I just wanted to add some dribbles of gold as I knew that gold would be a feature color for this layout. To achieve this, I have added lots of water to my inklingz pot before dipping a big wet paint brush in and splattering here there and everywhere. I have also added the Inklingz to my title word to help break up the black starkness of the sticker.

Lastly I have added some Gold Mine Shimmerz Texturez paint using a star stencil. Again lots of layering of gorgeous papers and elements for this layout including Vellum with Gold Stars and a Gold Foil Die Cut frame. The Scrappers Garden flowers were given some Shimmerz paint makeovers to help them tie in with the colors of the layout better. For this I have used Shimmerz Spritz in Sapphire Color, plus Shimmerz Coloringz in My Bleeding Heart & Keep Palm Colors.

Shimmerz Paint Products used in these projects include...
Texturez in Gold Mine Color,
Dazzlerz in Gummy Beary Blue Color,
Creameez in Ride the Tide, Berry Hot & Daffodil Colors,
Inklingz in Miner Miner 49er Color,
Spritz in Sapphire Color,
Coloringz in My Bleeding Hear, Keep Palm, Pink Stiletto, Don't Citron Me & Heidi Ho Blue Colors,
Shimmerz in Royal Red Color.

Mixed Media Shimmery Scrapbooking Inspiration with Amy Prior

Hi everyone!!!  Amy Prior back with you all again today to share another 3 scrapbook layouts that I have created recently using lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paint products. Don't forget that you can purchase Shimmerz products direct by checking out our retail store here. If you are super inspired by my projects, feel free to use my name in the comments to merchant section when checking out using Paypal and you will receive a free gift with your order woohoo!

First up I have a scrapbook page to share with you with a very beachy theme. For this layout, I have started off with a white cardstock background that I have added some Shimmerz Gold Texturez paint using a fabulous Sunrays stencil. Once this was dry, I have used the gorgeous new Shimmerz Gold Tonez collection paints to add some gorgeous gold colour to my background. To create this effect, I have simply adding lots of sprays of water, followed by some sprays of the Egg Noggin & Glorious Day Vibez sprays, then some dribbles and drops of the Get Glowing Creameez & Miner Miner 49er Inklingz. These tonez colours just work so beautifully with each other to create added texture and illusion of more depth and shadow.

Next I have added some of the Shimmerz Ocean Tonez paint to some corrugated cardstock as well as some dribbles on my background. I waited for the gold to be completely dry before dribbling the blue paints as I did not want them to have a chance to mix and make green. Sometimes I just love when colours mix and create new colours but for this layout I just wanted to focus on the blues and gold colours to really bring that beachy feel to the layout.
The frame around the photograph is chipboard from Dusty Attic here in Australia and I have simply painted that with a good coating of the Miner Miner 49er Inklingz.

Here I have a very soft and delicate pastel layout to share using lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paints again but this time alongside some beautiful Prima Marketing papers and embellishments as well as Blue Fern Studios Chipboard. To start off this layout, the background was already very pretty and textured looking so I did not want to take away from the gorgeous design too much so I decided to simply smear some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Tutti Frutti, Barely Blue & Patina over the background where I knew I was going to be placing my elements.

I have scraped these colours all at the same time and while they were still wet, I have sprinkled some gorgeous delicate little sequins over the top so I didn't have to worry about gluing them later on.
Next up I have painted the Blue Fern Studios frame using some Shimmerz Tidy Widy Texturez Paint. Ooh I just love the texture of the texturez paints they are just so fun to work with and still have that gorgeous  shimmery shine.

Finally I have a bright and bold layout created on a plain back surface again using lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paint products. For the background, I have added some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Grape-Tastic using a sunbeam stencil and again I have added some sequins sprinkled over the top before the paint dried so that I didn't have to worry about gluing these later.

When the purple starburst was dry, I have added some more stencilling using some Shimmerz Texturez, this time in The Tide that Binds colour. This stencilling I have just done randomly all over the place but the main element of the stencil I have just kept in the 1 corner where I knew my photo was going to be placed. Lots of gorgeous bright elements on this layout using some of my all time favourite colours.

Thanks so much for stopping by and until next time, happy scrapping!

She is Clothed in Strength and Dignity with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back with you all again today to share a layout that I have just completed using lots of gorgeous Shimmerz Spray Paints.

The photo I have used for this layout is of my dear friend Nicole who is so inspiring to me with a gorgeous heart. During a recent trip to the beach with both our families, I took this photo of Nicole and just loved it so much. The photo is so carefree and fun and just the perfect shot of Nicole.

I really wanted to use the gorgeous Stencil from Donna Downey with the She is Clothed in Dignity Scripture Verse but I just knew it would take up a lot of room on my page so I started off by adding some Gesso through the stencil to the right side of my white cardstock. When the Gesso was dry, I have sprayed some random spots of Shimmerz Coloringz over the page that would match my papers I had chosen.

Once I let the Shimmerz Coloringz dry, I have then used my stencil again lining it up as perfectly as possible over the Gesso before spraying some Vibez Rolling in the Hay over the top. As you can see, the Shimmerz Vibez did run a little through the stencil as I was way too heavy handed with the spraying but I just love the blotchy effect it left behind. I really wanted that Gold Shimmer to come out from the Vibez sprays.

The final step for my background to bring that beautiful stencilled scripture verse back to the fore front was to draw over the letters with a Snow Marker before heating with my heat gun to activate. This Snow Marker is so cool for giving a funky new type of texture and is particularly great for adding a snow like effect to the edges of flower petals etc. I just love the effect it created on the letters here and because I wasn't very good at doing an even coat over each letter, the letters vary with dimension and bubbley texture which is super cool.

Some ripped paper, doilies and TONNES of flowers of course was the final touches to this fabulous layout. I have also got a fun Flourish with a Bling Laser Flourish tucked under my flowers here and there that was also sprayed with the Shimmerz Vibez Rolling in the Hay Spray. Because the water based sprays instantly wanted to resist the laser flourish, the end result was a very cool dribbled effect that I unfortunately had to allow to dry naturally because one zap of my heat gun and the flourish would have melted. Oh well LOL sometimes we do have to wait for paint to dry *sigh*.

Shimmerz Paint Products used include...
Shimmerz Coloringz in No Yoking, Oh Say Can You Sea, Pretty in Pink and Peachy Keen
Shimmerz Vibez in Rolling in the Hay.

Beautiful Shimmery Goodness with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back again with you all today to share a recent scrapbooking layout featuring tonnes of gorgeous Shimmerz products. I seriously cannot get enough Shimmerz Inklingz at the moment eeekk they are so divine and so lush to play with. Don't forget to checkout the new colors that have just been released in the Shimmerz shop here.

For this layout I have used Shimmerz Inklingz in Sun Kissed, Beets Me, Blue My Mind & French Twist on my background white cardstock. This gorgeous effect is easily achieved by wetting your cardstock with water and layering splodges of the inklingz down 1 color at a time, starting with the lightest color first.

When creating the background, to avoid muddying up the colors, I have dried each color before adding a new color. This ensures that there is minimal color mixing. I have then added random gold grid sticker pieces over the shimmery background to add some more texture to it.

The Blue Fern Studio Chipboard title has then been covered with a nice thick and chunky coat of Brick Wall Shimmerz Texturez Paint and followed with a spray of  Shimmerz Plum Pudding Spritz spray to get a multi toned color on the title.

The gorgeous papers that I have used for this layout are from Authentique, definately a new favorite collection of mine, and they have worked beautifully alongside some Scrappers Garden, Prima & Petaloo flowers.

Don't forget that you can earn a free gift with your order from the Shimmerz store. Just mention my name in the Notes to Seller section when checking out through Paypal. Here is a great little tutorial on how you can claim your freebie!
