Enchanted Pastels with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back with you all again today to share 3 scrapbooking layouts using lots of gorgeous pastel colours and a gorgeous paper collection called Enchanted. Don't forget you can click here to go shopping in the Shimmerz Paint Products retail store. Type my name, Amy Prior, in the comments to merchant section when checking out in Paypal to receive a free gift!

First up is a layout titled Delight. This layout started off as a white background. I have drawn some circles using a watercolour pencil, then added some Shimmerz Creameez and Inklingz around the circle, before adding more water and fading the circles out back to white.

This layout was so much fun to make and I just love the way it turned out. The gorgeous Shimmerz Creameez and Inklingz work so well together and the colours are so divine.

Next up is a layout titled Princess. For this layout, I have, again, started off with a white background. I have then added lots of water before adding some Shimmerz Creameez and Inklingz to the background water puddle.

When the background water puddle was dry, I have added some Shimmerz Texturez using a Crafters Workshop Stencil and a palette knife. Lastly I have added the Creameez and Inklingz that I have used on the background, to my Blue Fern Chipboard before adding some Glossy Accents to finish the chipboard off.

Finally I have a Kraft based layout to share that I have added lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paint in Sunny to the background. When the Shimmerz was dry, I have added some stencilling using a Crafters Workshop stencil and some Shimmerz Dazzlerz.

Lots of gorgeous paper layers and flowers finished off all these layouts beautifully. I think the Easter colours have been on my mind lately.

Shimmerz Paint Products used for these layouts include:
Shimmerz Inklingz in Beets Me, Me & Blue, Meet Me @ Sunset, Pink-a-Boo, Pugnacious Purple,
Shimmerz Creameez in Berry Hot, Ride the Tide, Get Glowing, Daffodil, Power to the Purple, Piggy Pink, Marshmallow,
Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Tutti Frutti, Spun Sugar,
Shimmerz Shimmerz in Sunny,
Shimmerz Textures in Patina.

Mixed Media Shimmery Scrapbooking Inspiration with Amy Prior

Hi everyone!!!  Amy Prior back with you all again today to share another 3 scrapbook layouts that I have created recently using lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paint products. Don't forget that you can purchase Shimmerz products direct by checking out our retail store here. If you are super inspired by my projects, feel free to use my name in the comments to merchant section when checking out using Paypal and you will receive a free gift with your order woohoo!

First up I have a scrapbook page to share with you with a very beachy theme. For this layout, I have started off with a white cardstock background that I have added some Shimmerz Gold Texturez paint using a fabulous Sunrays stencil. Once this was dry, I have used the gorgeous new Shimmerz Gold Tonez collection paints to add some gorgeous gold colour to my background. To create this effect, I have simply adding lots of sprays of water, followed by some sprays of the Egg Noggin & Glorious Day Vibez sprays, then some dribbles and drops of the Get Glowing Creameez & Miner Miner 49er Inklingz. These tonez colours just work so beautifully with each other to create added texture and illusion of more depth and shadow.

Next I have added some of the Shimmerz Ocean Tonez paint to some corrugated cardstock as well as some dribbles on my background. I waited for the gold to be completely dry before dribbling the blue paints as I did not want them to have a chance to mix and make green. Sometimes I just love when colours mix and create new colours but for this layout I just wanted to focus on the blues and gold colours to really bring that beachy feel to the layout.
The frame around the photograph is chipboard from Dusty Attic here in Australia and I have simply painted that with a good coating of the Miner Miner 49er Inklingz.

Here I have a very soft and delicate pastel layout to share using lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paints again but this time alongside some beautiful Prima Marketing papers and embellishments as well as Blue Fern Studios Chipboard. To start off this layout, the background was already very pretty and textured looking so I did not want to take away from the gorgeous design too much so I decided to simply smear some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Tutti Frutti, Barely Blue & Patina over the background where I knew I was going to be placing my elements.

I have scraped these colours all at the same time and while they were still wet, I have sprinkled some gorgeous delicate little sequins over the top so I didn't have to worry about gluing them later on.
Next up I have painted the Blue Fern Studios frame using some Shimmerz Tidy Widy Texturez Paint. Ooh I just love the texture of the texturez paints they are just so fun to work with and still have that gorgeous  shimmery shine.

Finally I have a bright and bold layout created on a plain back surface again using lots of gorgeous Shimmerz paint products. For the background, I have added some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Grape-Tastic using a sunbeam stencil and again I have added some sequins sprinkled over the top before the paint dried so that I didn't have to worry about gluing these later.

When the purple starburst was dry, I have added some more stencilling using some Shimmerz Texturez, this time in The Tide that Binds colour. This stencilling I have just done randomly all over the place but the main element of the stencil I have just kept in the 1 corner where I knew my photo was going to be placed. Lots of gorgeous bright elements on this layout using some of my all time favourite colours.

Thanks so much for stopping by and until next time, happy scrapping!

Ocean Mono Tonez with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back with you all again today to share some scrapbooking pages that I have created using some of the gorgeous new Shimmerz Tonez collections. Don't forget to check out the awesome video here for all the info on these amazing new sets from Shimmerz paints. Then come stop by the Shimmerz Retail store here to purchase your set today.

The first layout that I have to share with you all today is featuring the entire Shimmerz Ocean Tonez set as pictured above. I just ADORE these colors so much eeekk they make me so happy.

To create my background I have added lots of water sprayed to my white cardstock before spraying some Deep Blue Sea Vibez & Jeni B Blue Vibez randomly on the water pools. I have quickly dried this with my heat tool to create this awesome pooled water effect before adding some splatters of Ride the Tide Creameez and Me & Blue Inklingz also to the background.

When the Ocean Tonez colors were all dry, I have added some stencilling to the background using Shimmerz Texturez Patina and a 6x6 Crafters Workshop Art Is.. Stencil.

The last step for painting included these gorgeous Chipboard flourishes from Blue Fern Studios. I have firstly painted these roughly with some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Barely Blue + Gummy Bear Blue to give a nice variation of color. Next I have simply drizzled some of the Ride the Tide Creameez + Me & Blue Inklingz over the top to add some more variation of Blue tones.

Overall the blues were simply gorgeous but I decided to add some aqua, green and purple shades to the layout as well to add more color and to work with the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios papers I wanted to use.

The next set of Shimmerz Tonez that I have used is the Mono Tonez. These Mono Tonez colors are just the perfect jumping off point for any project and I just adore how colors pop off the contrast of the Mono Tonez colors!

For this background, I have created the same sort of water pooled image on my white cardstock as above just by using sprayed water first to create a pool and then followed by adding sprays of Taupe of the Mornin' + Taupe of the World. After heat drying this pool with my heat gun I have sprinkled some No One's Chrome Inklingz + Thunder Storn Creameez just very lightly over the pools.

Next I have added some stamping using some Black Archival Ink and a Kaisercraft Texture Stamp just randomly and messily over my background. The pure black pigment of tha Archival Ink is the perfect addition to the gorgeous hues of grey in the Mono Tonez set.

Next I have painted some Blue Fern Studios Chipboard using some Gesso to prime before spraying with Shimmerz Princess Vibez over the top quite heavily to get the gorgeous rich purple color.

Some final additions to this layout included gorgeous printed vellum, Flourish with a Bling embellishments and some title/journalling work before it was complete. I just adore how the purple just pops off the page as well as the gorgeous colors in the photo.

Shimmerz Paint Products used for these projects include...
Shimmerz Ocean Tonez Collection Kit,
Shimmerz Mono Tonez Collection Kit,
Shimmerz Texturez in Patina Color,
Shimmerz Vibez in Princess Color,
Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Barely Blue & Gummy Bear Blue Color
