Simple Rainbow Background | Irit Landgraf

Hi! Irit here and I'm happy to share a new project with you today! I will show you how to create a super fun and easy rainbow background, using one stencil and a lovely selection of Coloringz. Here's the finished layout-

I used a Dina Wakley stencil called mini favorites and Coloringz in Pink Stilettos, Pretty in Pink, Scarlet's Fever, Don't Citron Me, Well Blue Me Down, Heidi Ho Blue and Sunset Strip Vibez to create the background. This is such an easy and effective way of creating a lovely colorful background for your layouts, cards or art journal. Don't forget to watch the video tutorial I created and see exactly how I made this!

Layout that uses a beautiful circle by Yuko

Hello!Yuko here!
Today I want share my layout using shimmerz mist.

Beautiful memories of summer.
It is a photograph of a blue sky and a sunflower field clear!

【Lovely smoile】

I painted with gesso to cover it as there was the pattern
of the green caterpillar in the background,
but a result brought a good effect!

Now this circle feel good! ! !
I'm using the mist.
Referred to as non-uniformity,
more than I thought referred to as wet-sensitive!

Set it aside to dry painted gesso on white paper.
Spray a mist of shimmerz.
Put clear sheet While not dry.
Apply lame liquid to finish.

A Quick & Easy Canvas!

Hi all! I'm so excited to share with you today a small canvas design I made using goodies from the September Flying Unicorn kits and some of my favorite Shimmerz Paints Products. There were so many beautiful metal embellishments in this kit I wanted to use them on a mixed media style canvas.  Most of what is on this canvas is from the September kits from Flying Unicorn (I think the only thing from my stash is a couple of adhesive gems and a couple small Dusty Attic chipboard pieces and some Shimmerz Paintz (although some of the Shimmerz products are in the kit)....I will list them below).  As always, I find it easier to show than to tell, so here is a little video tutorial I made up for this piece,...enjoy!

As I said, most of the products I used on this canvas are from the Flying Unicorn kits, but here are the Shimmerz Products used on this canvas....

~ Sunset Strip Vibez
~ Before the Dawn Vibez
~Truffle Spritz
~ Jeni B Bleu Vibez (in Kit)
~ Apple Cider Blingz
~ Artechoked Texturez (in Kit)
~ Golden Wheat Shimmerz

NOTE:  If you would like to order the Shimmerz products used on this canvas you can order them directly from the Shimmerz online STORE.  And remember if you would like to get a FREE/Bonus Shimmerz product be sure to mention my name "Gabrielle' in the 'INSTRUCTIONS TO MERCHANT' part at the end of your order and Stacey will send you a bonus Shimmerz product in the color of your choice :)

Here are a few of close ups of the canvas that you can view at your leasure....

I just love that metal branch!

Hope you enjoyed my project! This one came together quick and easy!  I've got another really fun canvas/and video tutorial coming up in a few days (11th) done with more goodies from this kit and lots of lovely Shimmerz products!  Hope you'll be able to come by and check it out!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

when I grow up..

Hello. It's Naomi here today to share a simple LO.

I have used:

COLORINGZ Mandarin Mai Tai
VIBEZ Sea Monkey
VIBEZ Princess
VIBEZ Sunset Strip

They work so well not only on a paper but also on a canvas. (butterflies on the LO)
Sea Monkey is one of my favourite colours!
(The colour combination I used is from The Color Room #116)

My 3 year old daughter says "When I grow up, I want to be a butterfly."
It's good to be a kid, isn't it?

hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

Tags for one "Thank you"!

For this special month, the one of the Thanksgiving, I created two thank you tags using some of my favorite Vibez.

For the background I used Rolling in the Hay, Sunset Strip and Hot Fudge Vibez with the help of a sponge. I brushed Aqua Marine Shimmerz on the edges and to make the drops.

I lit the flowers with a sprinkling of Snow Storm Vibez.

Have a great day with creativity!

Shimmerz everywhere

Happy Tuesday Ladies,

today I would like to share a project with you loaded with Shimmerz.

My top flower was cut from my cricut cartridge & painted with Blue by you, Papa Purple, and Espresso Pearls. I used a paint brush and applied a generous amount of Paint to various spots of the flower. The colors blend beautifully together and once dried I gave the flower some dimension by lifting the petals and giving them a slight crumble.

The thin piece of chipboard, and embossed Petaloo flower petals were painted with Sunny Side up Pearls.

the flower to the right of the page is left white and the edges of the petals were painted with Hi Ho Silver Blingz. The leaves were cut from the Cricut embossed with my big shot and painted with Pixie Dust Pearls.

My background was sprayed with Jeni B Bleu Vibez
This floral cluster was also cut from the cricut machine. Sprayed with Sunset Strip Vibez, and the edges painted with Hi Ho Silver Blingz make the shine amazing. And last but not least the fan punch was also sprayed in Sunset Strip Vibez.

Thank you ladies for stopping by!!

Love my Shimmerz!!

Good day ladies, by now I am sure you've figured out I love the paint splatter technique. It adds instant interest and artistic quality to any project.

Here I splattered Blue By You Pearlz, Sunset Strip Vibez, & Licorice Spritz on the background of my kraft paper.

On this layout I sprayed Sunset Strip Vibez on the background, and RazzleDazzle Berry Vibez on the kraft envelope, along with a little Licorice Spritz. My Prima flower was enhanced with RazzleDazzle Berry Vibez as well. And the tree on this layout cut from my cricut machine (stretch your imagination cartridge) and painted with Peas B Mine Pearlz. The color is amazing on this tree.

Happy Scrapping ladies!!

Shimmerz is like music...

Hi there ladies, I have two fun layouts to share with you today. First, this is my youngest daughter Bailey. I love the way her laughter sounds, and the joy it brings to my heart. She is full of life so I wanted this layout to be the same. What better way to bring a layout alive than with Shimmerz.

here I used Pixie Dust Blingz as a topping on my roses.

The Ranger Ink music note mask coupled with Sunset Strip Vibez created a fun background.

On this layout I splattered the yellow polka dot background with Shimmerz Spritz Licorice
this simple technique has a large impact on the feel of this layout.

As you can see it doesn't matter if you use our Shimmerz on most of your project or in a small way it makes a large impact. Happy Scrapping ladies!!

Shimmerz helps out with a little HUG...

Hi everyone! This is Lolly (Shimmerz guest designer for the next couple-o-months)! I am super excited to share my first Shimmerz project with you!!!!

I was torn between sharing something with flowers (which are one of my absolute favorite things)... or a little tree... I decided to go with the flowers for now and we'll do the tree next time (that little tree is gonna steal your shimmery lovin' little hearts... I swears)!
Craft Goodies Used for this Project:
The Paper Studio
-
Chip Decor Letters
Petaloo - Color Me Crazy Flowers (awesome mega pack with enough flowers for multiple projects)

Cuttlebug - Quilling Flower Folders (Daisy & Chrysanthemum)
Assorted Gems
Shimm
erz - Vibez - Sunset Strip & Jeni-B-Bleu
Shimmerz - Spritz - Bed of Roses
Shimmerz Paints - A
qua Marine & Celery
Shimmerz -
Pearlz - Carrot Top, Sunny Side Up & Green with EnvyShimmerz Blingz - Hottie Pink (this color totally rocks!!!!)
(shop for Shimmerz HERE)
...I also used an assortment of craft acrylic paints to paint the chipboard letters 3 different colors of green!

Now let's get started for real!

I tend to test and play around with things when starting a project... just to make sure that the
way I see it in my head has a fighting chance to become reality.

My initial plan was to cover all of the chipboard letters with quilled flowers, but they looked too packed together and plain... plus they needed way more POP!

So I busted out this awesome pack of Petaloo flowers and laid about them as the foundation for the quilled flowers...

Then once I added a few of those quilled flowers on top of the Petaloo flowers... things really started to take shape!

My Mom dropped by for a visit (she's also known as MomChops over on my blog)... so I put her to work painting all of the Petaloo Flowers with a nice assortment of Shimmerz Paints...

When you come to my house you have to be ready to dig in and do some crafts... especially on Saturdays!

(any man, women or child who enters the craft room on a Saturday is in danger of being handed a pair of scissors or a paint brush)
(even my husband has fallen prey to this phenomenon)

I decided that the color for my quilled flower petals would come entirely from Shimmerz sprays..
I really wanted them to have a nice shimmery shine to them and the best way to do that was to start with plain white paper and spritz the heck out of them!

Once they were nice and dry...
I cut them into one inch strips so they could be run through my Cuttlebug quilling folders!

(if you have never seen the quilling folders in action and want to see a video demonstration... leave a comment here and let me know!)
(I'll put a little video together of how I made the flowers for this project and post it right here on the Shimmerz blog!!!)

MomChops painted the chipboard letters and ALL of the Petaloo flowers for me...
(I took her to lunch to thank her after we were done... she was plum tuckered out!!!)

41 fabulous shimmery quilled flowers and 42 fabulous painted and shimmery Petaloo flowers later...

I started assembling the whole thing!

I filled the centers of those flowers with bright sparkly gems and used some of the quilling leaves under each flower pair.

To get everything to stick together nice and tidy...
I used an assortment of liquid glue, ZipDry and a hot glue gun!

Here is the finished sign of HUGS!
(this little sign is going to be given as a birthday present to the daughter of a very dear friend of mine who likes lots of sparkle and nice bright colors)!!!!

...and here are a coupla more pics so you can check out the details a little better!

Thanks so much for dropping by and big thanks to Stacey and the whole DT for having me over for a visit! I had a blast! I'll be back in about a week with another project!

Have a great day!
