Wild @ Heart - A Background Tutorial using Shimmerz Paints

Hi There Shimmerz Friends,

It's Renee here, coming to you from school holidays here in Australia.

School Holidays mean lots of creative time at home.

My favourite kind of days.

Which sometimes require me not getting out of PJ's!!

Here is a layout I created

focusing on the background

which was created with Shimmerz Paints, of course!

Love how this turned out.

For this layout I used the Cocoa Vanilla Studios - Wild at Heart Collection.

I used a Dusty Attic - Criss Cross Stencil.

layout I created using some yummy Shimmerz Paints.

I love how bright and funky this layout turned out.

The background was loads of fun to make!

Using the Shimmerz AcriTonez - Shimmerz Tar Tar,

I painted the wood veneer crosses.  

I only need one coat, as these AcriTonez are so pigmented.

Some more paint for the title as well.

Baby Card using Shimmerz Coloringz & AcriTonez

Hello There Friends,

It's Renee here, ready to share a video tutorial

on how to make a funky Baby Card

using Shimmerz Coloingz & AcriTonez.

I have made this card to be A4 in size as the 

entire staff at the school I work at will be signing it

to give to her on her last day of work before maternity leave.

I love the colors and how it turned out.

The Shimmerz Products used are:

Shimmerz Coloringz - Shades of Gray, No Yoking & Night Moves.

Shimmerz AcriTonez - 3 Sheets to the Wind & Shimmerz Tar Tar.

Lots of layering and texture on the background.

I used a silhouette file for the word "Baby"

and I mixed AcriTonez to paint over the Chipboard "G".

I made my own patterned paper for the balloons

which I will show you in the video below.

There is nothing like creating in the midst of a cyclone,

which is happening where I live in Australia.

It has given me the opportunity to take my mind off

all that is going on and just get creative.

She Was a Beautiful Dreamer

Hello Shimmerz Friends,

I cannot tell you how excited I was when we were told that

Shimmerz Paints was releasing a paint range called AcriTonez.

So, I thought I would get my Art Journal out,

one of many that I have and haven't played with for a while.

I had the idea in my head, and the quote, and I went for it.

Here it is!

I love all the colors and I wanted to have a play

with the new Shimmerz Paste-eez too.

As you will see in the video tutorial,

I used them as paints as well as using them with a stencil

to create texture on my page.

The quote says:

"She was a beautiful dreamer,

the kind of girl who kept her head in the clouds,

loved above the stars and left regret

beneath the earth she walked on."
