It is Well | Julee Tilman

Hi Shimmerz friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in to share a little shimmery cardmaking goodness with you. Today's card was inspired by one of the Dotz in the Sweet Girl collection. I loved the blue and pink flowers, so decided to build my card around that.

I started by masking off a rectangle of watercolor paper, then stenciling a modern stencil with Moulin Rouge Shimmerz. I let that dry, then put down a ledger stencil and used Pip Pip Cherry-O Shimmerz  with that.  I then added some splatters with Blue My Mind Inklingz and Pip Pip Cherry-O and set the panel aside to dry.

Next I embossed the outline flower from the Fresh Start Stampz set in black a few times, then watercolored with the above colors.  I also stamped a couple of the leaves from the set and colored with Green Olive.  I just love that shimmer!

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from an old Verve set of mine, embossed it in black, and then added the Dotz that inspired the card, as well as a sprinkling of sequins and enamel dots.

A Fresh Start | Julee Tilman

Hi Shimmerz friends! It's Julee here with a fun little card share for you!

This card features the fabulous Pip Pip Cherry-O Shimmerz and the Fresh Start Stampz set. I started by stamping the flowers with colored inks. Both the flowers and leaves have two step stamps in the set, so I was able to stamp the outlines and color them in just with stamps. Next I added a few hand painted highlights with Pip, Pip Cherry-O and then coated the flowers with Angel Wings Shimmerz for some super shine.  I then hand trimmed the flowers and leaves and set them aside to work on my background.

The background is done entirely with Pip, Pip Cherry-O and a waterbrush.  I plopped a little color in the middle to get some color on the page, then added some splatters until I achieved the look I wanted. The sentiment is embossed in white on a vellum circle and then I layered it all together with one of the Dotz from a previous color kit.

To finish the card, I distressed the edges, then added a few holeless sequins scattered around my collage of elements.

Start The Day Right | Melinda

Hello crafty friends!
Melinda here with you today and I am excited to share my latest "Shimmery" project with you.

Here's my card. I started with a soft cream cardstock, to create an A2 Top folding base. 

For my mat, I cut a piece of watercolor paper to 4 x 5.25. I then took my Bumbly Bee Shimmerz paint and spread some on an acrylic block.

I took the solid floral stamp from the Fresh Start Stamp set and "smooshed" it into the paint.

I then "stamped" it onto my mat. I started by stamping in the top left corner.

I then repeated the steps by stamping on the edges first.

I then continued to repeat the process until I had filled in the background mat. 

I finished off the mat by adding a little splatter using my So Sappy and Pumpkin Shimmerz Paints.

I then added a pretty mat from one of my border punches. and then topped it off by stamping and coloring some of the flowers from the same Fresh Start Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of paper and added it to my card. I finished off the card by adding a few sequins. I think this turned out really pretty.

You Make My Heart Smile | Julee Tilman

Hi Shimmerz friends! It's Julee Tilman popping in to share a card with you. I had so much fun playing with my Shimmerz paints for this card.

I started with the Heart Dangle chipboard from Scrapaholics, painting it with Moulin Rouge, Berry-licious and Sugar Plum Shimmerz. Isn't this a dreamy combination? While this was drying, I taped down and masked off a rectangle with post-it note tape to start on my background. I used the same colors of Shimmerz paint to paint the background, spritzing with water and lifting with a paper towel to get the splatter look.  Here's what it looked like before I pulled up the masking. Love that shimmer!

I thought a flower would look perfect in the center of my painted chipboard heart, so I pulled out the Fresh Start Stampz set and did some three step stamping for the flower and leaves in pinks and greens. I stamped two flowers and two leaf sprigs, then cut just portions of the second ones to layer and give the flower and leaves a bit more dimension. I curled up the top layer flower petals, too. Here's what it looked like when I was done building this portion of the card.

I thought my flower needed a little more pizazz, so I pulled out the Angel Wings Shimmerz and gave the flower and leaves a good coating. This is one of my favorite ways to add a bit of wow factor to stamped images. Love the shimmer it adds!

Done with my elements, I picked a sticker from the Small Talk idea-ology collection for my sentiment, snipped it in two and added to the bottom of the card. I layered everything together, outlined the background panel with a black permanent pen to give the illusion of a mat without extra bulk, then finished off with some sparkly scattered holeless sequins.

Fresh Start in the New Year

Hello Shimmerz fans! I hope your 2019 is looking bright. Ericka here today with a floral Valentines card using the Shimmerz Fresh Start Stampz set.

I love the flowers in this set and the color and shine of the Sweetheart Vibez are perfect for a Valentine's Day card.

I started by placing a heart stencil on some Bristol Smooth paper in a shoe box, because I can get a little messy, and spraying the Sweetheart Vibez over the stencil. The fine mist of the Vibez was perfect for this delicate stencil. While I waited for it to dry, I stamped and colored these beautiful flowers with Copic markers.

 I fussy cut the images and then attached them to the dry card front with foam adhesive to give them some dimensions.

I splattered a little Royal Purple Shimmerz to front of the card to tie the purple in with the pink. To finish off the card, I added this sentiment from a set in my stash and white heat embossed it.

Melinda here and today I am sharing a card featuring the Shimmerz Fresh Start Stampz Set. This is the perfect stamp set to pick up to get your Valentine's day projects done!

Here is a look at my completed card. It  is an A2, top folding card created with some black cardstock as the base. I then added another piece of black for a mat.

Here is a closer look at the background. I cut strips of 3/4” wide white cardstock and then ran them through my die cut machine with a wood grain embossing folder. I then spritzed the paper with some Jeni B Bleu Vibez spray. I hit the raised parts with my white pigment ink pad and then dabbed some additional spray onto various areas to get the depth and variation of color.

Here’s a closer look at the square mat the roses sit on. It to started out as plain white cardstock. I spritzed that with a combination of Jeni B Bleu Vibez and some Glorious Day Vibez Spray. I love the mix of warm and cool colors. I matted that onto a decorative square panel I created and cut from my craft cutting machine.

Here is a closer look at the flowers. I used two of the three layered stamps in the Fresh Start Stampz Set. I then brushed just a touch of Pink Bubble Gum Blast – Shimmerz Paint to the flowers and added some pearls to the centers.

I stamped the sentiment with some gray ink and then mounted it to my card. Here you can also see the little pearl embellishments to accent the frame.

I finished of the card by adding a border of seam binding down the middle and then adding a bow to that.

Here is one last look at my completed card. It really is not too hard to reproduce and is a lot of fun to add these beautiful sprays and paints to see what beautiful effects they create!
