October 2025 Color Kitz | Happy Halloween | Stephanie Dang

Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie Dang, and I'm back on the blog today to share my project using this month’s color kitz. If you would like to see more of my work or follow me, please find me at https://www.instagram.com/paperandi/ and https://paperandi07.blogspot.com. This kit is so fun and perfect for documenting your Halloween festivities! You will find all supplies to recreate the layout at the bottom of my blog post.

Step 1:  Take spare white cardstock and spray them with Vibez "Punkin' Pie".  Take the Color Splash "Black Hole" and add droplets here and there.  Let dry. Take several different star dies and punches, and die cut a variety of size stars. Set aside.

Step 2: Start with the swirl background. Follow the curves and cut a portion off. Layer that piece on the black ghosts patterned paper to create a full 12 x 12 background.

Step 3: Add the variety of stars to the right side. Following the curves of the patterned paper. Embellishment as seen. Tucking and adding foam throughout. Finished with photos framed in white cardstock and titles.

Supplies:
• Shimmerz Paints OCTOBER 2025 Color Kitz,  VIBEZ (Punkin' Pie), VIBEZ (Black Hole),  modeling paste,  gesso, foam adhesive, and regular adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my project, and felt inspired to create this yourself by using the October 2025 Color Kitz. Dream | Brandy Vaughn | January Color Kitz

Hello, crafty friends! I'm back with a new layout using the January Color Kitz. This time I wanted to focus on the Coloringz 'ROSE TO THE OCCASION' that is exclusive to the January Kit.

I cut two 90-degree triangles from the black and white striped paper that came in the kit. Then I sprayed a piece of smooth, white cardstock with the Coloringz and grabbed an old punch to make a lacy border around my triangles.

Then I die-cut some sweet flowers for embellishing.

I grabbed a few more embellishments from my stash. But not too many because I wanted this layout to stay soft and minimal.

After I added my title and journaling, I finished it off with some back splatters using the fabulous Color Splash in BLACK HOLE. This instantly became one of my favorite products. Color Splash is a wonderful way to get a sprinkle of color that sits on top of the paper rather than soaking in. And it dries dimensional! How awesome is that?!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I've inspired you to use your Shimmerz products to create die-cut and punched embellishments for your next layout.

Love Captured - December Color Kitz by Emilie Chamel

Happy December, friends!

Emilie here using the December 2020 Color Kitz to show you how versatile this kit is by creating a non-Christmassy layout! I love these kits so much! The mediums are so easy to use in all sort of ways! Paint-brushes, sprays, splatters, full background, lettering... you name it, you can create it!

  • Seas The Day Vibez
  • Bubblegum Blast Shimmerz
  • Granny Gray Spritz
  • Buddy's Favorite Color Shimmerz
  • Olive Branch Spritz
  • 1 exclusive layered process "By The Chimney With Care" cut file created by Shimmerz Paints
  • 1 set of "Oh What Fun" Dotz
  • 1 package of Silver Dusting Embellishmentz

Lately I have been practicing brush lettering which gave me the idea for this background. I am so happy with how it turned out! I used a large round brush to hand-letter the word "Love" on my background with the "Bubblegum Blast" Shimmerz paint. I then fine-lined it gradually with a thinner round brush then followed with a super thin round tip brush both in more or less diluted "Buddy's favorite color" Shimmerz paint to create the impression of volume.

I splattered my background with diluted "Bubblegum Blast" and "Buddy's favorite color" shimmerz as well as with the Olive Branch Spritz.

I sprayed two pieces of white cardstock respectively with "Sea's the day" Vibez and "Granny Gray" Spritz to mat my photograph.

I tore a bit of the Granny Gray cardstock to repeat at the top right corner of my layout to balance out my design.

I decorated my layout with sequins, die-cuts and Perspextives for a mix of texture and a layering of volumes. And there you go! I am so happy with this layout and how it turned out!

Thankful for every little moment - Emilie Chamel

Hey friends! Emilie here today for another autumn-y layout as part of the Shimmerz Design Team. I am using the stunning November 2020 Color Kitz. which contains:

  • Misty Morning Inklingz
  • Don't Rain on My Parade Vibez
  • Precious Metal Shimmerz
  • *NEW EXCLUSIVE COLOR* Show Me the Honey Inkling
  • Going Peach Side Shimmerz
  • 1 exclusive "Thankful For Every Little Moment" cut file created by Shimmerz Paints
  • 1 set of "Hello Fall" Dotz
  • 1 package of Pearl Embellishmentz

The colours are stunning and they are all now part of my firm favourites. So much so that I have finished the "Going peach side Shimmerz" pot!!!

As always, the Color Kitz matches perfectly with the trendiest collections of the moment. I love that I can use my kitz with papers I have just gotten my hand on!

The mists can easily be used for some packaging technique too by spraying it first onto a plastic surface and then picking it up was my packaging.

The cut file part of the kitz are a great way to create an easy layout. Painting it with my inklingsz gives it a unique look that "pops" off the page.

This layout was created using very easy entry level mixed media techniques for a minimum amount of risk of wasting material. Try it for yourself!

Fall by Emilie Chamel

Hey friends! Emilie here today for an autumn-y layout as part of the Shimmerz Design Team. I am using the stunning November 2020 Color Kitz. which contains:

  • Misty Morning Inklingz
  • Don't Rain on My Parade Vibez
  • Precious Metal Shimmerz
  • *NEW EXCLUSIVE COLOR* Show Me the Honey Inkling
  • Going Peach Side Shimmerz
  • 1 exclusive "Thankful For Every Little Moment" cut file created by Shimmerz Paints
  • 1 set of "Hello Fall" Dotz
  • 1 package of Pearl Embellishmentz

I decided to give the Shimmerz colors the main stage on my layout by creating a full background. It is very easy to reproduce! I divided my white cardstock in four and painted each square with Don't rain on my parade Vibez, Precious metal shimmerz, Show me the honey Inkling and going peach side Shimmerz. Once dry I added a few splatters of the same colors around.

I then layered several patterned papers, my photograph and loads of florals.

I ruffled a few threads to place under my layering and finished off with my title and the three Dotz which come with the kit.

I got this feelin’ inside my bones autumn is here with Emilie Chamel

Hey friends! Emilie here today for a very special project as part of the Shimmerz Design Team. I am using the stunning October 2020 Color Kitz. which contains:

  • Marigold Shimmerz
  • Taupe of The Mornin' Vibez
  • Plum Pudding Spritz
  • *NEW EXCLUSIVE COLOR* Love Ocean #9 Vibez
  • 4 Leaf Clover Spritz
  • 1 exclusive "I Got This Feelin'" cut file created by Shimmerz Paints
  • 1 set of "Happy Hauntingz" Dotz
  • 1 package of Vibrant Pom Pomz

Are you also humming the Justin Timberlake song right now? Every time I look at this cut file I just can't help myself. I think it is a super cute cut-file and I wanted to use it in a non-Halloween way as I haven't yet accumulated enough photos of Sophia over the years in an array of costumes. I felt that the colours which are part of the October kit would work perfectly with an Autumn themed layout, and I have plenty of photographs for that!

I started off by adding colours to my white cardstock using the packaging technique as well as a lot of flickers. I then coloured the cut-file (from which I had removed the skeleton) with the Marigold Shimmerz paint. Once dried I glued it directly on my background and coloured inside the letters (on the background) with the Plum Pudding spritz. I simply sprayed some colour in a painting dish and used it as I would use watercolour. Once dried I added a few fine doodles in the centre of the letters and on the cut-file with a black pen.

I played with layering lots and lots of ephemeras in autumnal colours and added to the cut-file title to make it work with my photograph. Last but not least I filled inside the letters with glossy accent to make the colour pop even more and make my title more "solid" in the midst of all the mixed media.

I love how flexible this cut-file is! So easy to still use even without Halloween photos!

May Color Kitz - Winning Whimsy || Natalie Dill

Hey friends! Natalie here using the May Color Kitz! This color palette is gorgeous and will carry you through the long hot summer so well.

  • A Bright Fuchsia Coloringz - exclusive color!
  • Mustard Seed Vibez
  • Angels Kiss Inklingz
  • Paradise Punch Creameez
  • Moulin Rouge Shimmerz
  • 1 exclusive Blooming Butterfly cut file created by Shimmerz Paints
  • 1 set of Silver embellishing floss
  • 1 set of "Sweet Thing" Dotz
  • 1 set of Watercolor Butterfly Ephemera stickers

This exclusive butterfly cut file is GORGEOUS! I painted it, but you could also back it and it would be stunning. You can find a full process video of this layout on my YouTube channel.

I painted a couple of other die cut butterflies and wanted them to be the star of the show, so I stuck to simple splatters on the background of my paper.

The silver floss included in the kit goes so well with the beautiful, warm colors. I used the floss to create a thread tangle in three spots on the layout.

I also let the silver floss dictate the color of my title and sewing thread around the border of my page!

I painted a die cut doily with the same technique used for the butterflies to create a layering piece for my photo.

How lovely are those butterfly stickers?!

I threw on some Nuvo crystal drops to bring in the silver color too.

I love how the embossed bits of the butterflies allow the paint to fill in - so beautiful!

The exclusive Dotz are in the brightest colors and are super versatile with their sayings - they can go on so many pages.

Please make sure to grab your May Color Kitz in the store before they fly away!

Thanks for looking!
xoxo, Natalie

Fun and easy scrapbooking page tutorial

Hi!

Rocío here with a new project to share with you. For today I've created a scrapbook page using a fun technique with the paints that you are going to love.

In the center of the page I put the picture, with a few layers of decorated paper behind. After that, I used my wonderful and beautiful paints (I am totally in love with them) with a straw to create the funny effect that you can see.

You will find a list with the paints I've used at the end of the post.

I added as decorations some leaves I stamped from the Fresh start stamp set and you can see how beautiful they are. I used Shimmerz paints to color them.

For the title I've used a thickers gold alphabet from Maggie Holmes and I place it in round shape to keep the harmony.

To finish the decoration I added some sequins that coordinate with the colors of the paints I've used.

I can't describe with words the beautiful shimmery and the gorgeous colors the paints have.

Because I think you love to see the proccess video, you can see the entire tutorial on how to create this scrapbooking page and how to learn the fun technique
