Hello Summer | Mixed Media Layout using Shimmerz Mists and Dazzlers

Hello everyone! Lori here, sharing a splashy, mixed media filled layout. It was truly a quick, simple and easy layout to make so let's dive right in! Process Video: https://youtu.be/A92lKO5mnHY

I began by selecting a teal cardstock as my base. Then I marked off where my picture were going to be so as not to add mixed media and then cover it up, lol! Splashed the cardstock with In Deep (Coloringz), Heidi Ho Blue (Vibez), Jenni B Bleu (Vibez) and Snow Storm (Vibez). While my base was still wet, I splattered white acrylic paint and then let everything dry enough to be able to go back in with some greens without them blending together too much. The greens I sprayed were Hermit the Frog (Vibez) and Don't Citron Me (Vibez). I waited for them to dry and went in with a few more splatters of white acrylic paint. Finally, once my base was completely dry, I grabbed a palette knife and added a bit of dazzlers in Gummy Beary Blue to form a sort of border around the pictures. As I was adding the paste, I lightly tapped my knife on it to give it that ripple effect.
When my base was dry, I just added in my pictures (matted on light teal cardstock) and created my 3 embellishment clusters. Popped in some sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps and that's it! Close-ups are down below!

Summer Fun Video Tutorial with Amy Prior

Hi there Shimmerz fans! Amy Prior back with you all again today, this time with a quick layout to share with you all that includes a complete process video so you can create it at home as well! For this layout I have used the June Scraps of Darkness Kit that was full of beautiful Shimmerz paint goodness!

The layout is very fun, bright and vibrant perfect for all those in the northern hemisphere who are enjoying all that beautiful warm weather at the moment. It's very chilly here in Australia right now brrrr....

The photos in this layout are from Christmas time 2014 with my super dorky daughter pulling faces as per usual. Don't you just love all that colour?

Checkout the video below for more close-up pictures along with the complete start-to-finish process of creating this layout.

Cute Kid and Photo Op - Two layouts with Karine

Hi Shimmerz fan,

It's my first post as a DT member and I'm so excited to join all the talented ladies here! I'm also very pleased to create with such yummy paints and products.

Today, I want to share with you two layouts I made using exactly the same Shimmerz products. The first one features my son and his grumpy look... I was inspired by the color of his shirt.

First, I used two Vibez colors to create the background with a stencil: Jeni B Bleu and Hermit the Frog.

To add more texture to that background, I then added TextureZ in Tidy Widy through the same stencil. After that, I did some stamping.

I used two chipboards on which applied DazzelerZ in Gummy Berry Blue and Jelly Bean Green with my fingers.

I mated my photo with papers, resist canvas and a tag, both of which I coloured with Vibez Jeni B Bleu, Vibez Hermit the Frog and Spritz Tuscan Sun (my all time favorite color of mist!!).

I then went all around my papers and over my wood veneer title with Shimmerz in Tickle Me Turquoise, Jilted Jade and Sunflower.

As I was cleaning my work surface, I came across this picture of my son and I thought it would have been nice with the colors I just used, so I decided to make another layout. Here it is.

I used the mists (Vibez in Jeni B Bleu and Hermit the Frog and Spritz in Tuscan Sun) ans TextureZ (Tidy Widy) for the background.

Again, I used DazzelerZ (Gummy Berry Blue and Jelly Bean Green) to color my chipboards and my title.

Some random stamping in the background, and a shimmery finishing touch with Shimmerz around all my elements (Tickle Me Turquoise, Jilted Jade and Sunflower).

I really hope that this will inspire you. Have a nice shimmery day!

P.S. Don't forget to mention my name when ordering Shimmerz, Stacey will include something free just for you! :)

Strike a Pose and Cherish with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back again with you all today to share some more fantastic inspiration layouts featuring lots of Shimmerz Paint Products.

This first layout I have to share with you all is titled "Strike a Pose" and features the gorgeous new Shimmerz Inklingz in the colours Beets Me, Pink-a-Boo and Sheer Bliss. I have also used Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Licorice Stick to decorate the Chipboard Title and Cogs.

To create this background, I have added lots of water to my white card stock before adding splodges of Shimmerz Inklingz in the various shades.

I have then let the background dry completely before stamping some random Kaisercraft Texture Stamps over the top of the Inklingz using Archival Black ink.

The next layout I have to share with you all is titled "Cherish" and was created using lots of Shimmerz Paint products including Texturez in Crushed Coral, Dazzlerz in Gummy Berry Blue and Jellybean Green, Coloringz in No Yoking Yellow plus Shimmerz in Sunny.

To start this layout, I had a very pretty patterned paper that I wanted to use so I didn't want to add too much so just a subtle Texturez scraping was added using a scrap piece of card in a circular motion.

The Chipboard Circles that were to be added around the photo were sprayed with Coloringz in No Yoking Yellow plus I have then added random splatters of Shimmerz in Sunny Yellow to give a little extra bling to the circles and have a random shades of yellow effect.

For my chipboard title, I wanted to add some Turquoise/Teal colored Dazzlerz but of course no colour exists. To rectify this, I have simply mixed some Gummy Berry Green Dazzlerz with some Jellybean Green Dazzlerz until the desired colour was achieved. These paints mix beautifully so don't ever feel limited by the color range available!

Thats it from me today, I hope I have inspired you all to get out your stash of Shimmerz and have fun with them today! Don't forget you can head on over to the Shimmerz store here to purchase all of these amazing Shimmerz products now and if you add my name in the comments section, you will receive a bonus free gift.
Until next time, happy scrapping!
