Peace Cards | Melinda

Hello crafty friends,
Melinda here and I am super excited to share my cards with you today!

I created two cards featuring a variety of the beautiful Shimmerz Products! They are both a finished size of A2, so they will fit in an A2 sized envelope. Of course they are a bit chunky with the dimensional Poinsettias.

For both, I started by creating the card bases. I then cut the bases out of some cream colored cardstock and then cut the titles and flower pieces out of plain white cardstock. I absolutely love to start with just plain white cardstock and see where these beautiful Shimmerz products take my projects! The only other non-white pieces are the flourishes and the Kraft paper background mat for the card on the right.

For this first card, here is a closer look at the beautiful poinsettias. I used a combination of the and the to paint the poinsettias. For the smaller ones I just made the two layers two solid tones. For the large one, you can see I brushed the on first and then added in the darker shade. For the leaves, I used the Olive You Only Shimmerz paint. You can also see in the background that I stamped some tiny snowflakes using the tiny snowflake stamp from the stamp set. I then brushed on some of the Puttin’ on the glitz pasteez and brushed it horizontally to make the mat look a bit “snowy”.

Here’s a closer look at the peace title. I layered three of them together to give them some depth. I painted some of the Angel’s Kiss Inklingz onto the die cut. You can’t tell in the picture, but it has a very soft and subtle shimmer to it. Reminds me of a pearl like finish. The bottom outline layer has some Puttin’ on the Glitz dabbed onto it.

Here’s a closer look at the Poinsettias on the second card. I painted these the same as the other card. For the background on this card, I started by spraying some Jenni B Bleu Vibez onto the background. Once it was dry, I just brushed on some of the Angel’s Kiss Inklingz onto the background.

Winter Cards | Julee Tilman

Hi Shimmerz fans! It's Julee Tilman here sharing a couple cards using the new winter release stampz.

First up is the adorable Love Never Melts set. How darling are these little snow friends working together to get the star on top of the tree?

I stamped the image and colored with Copic markers, then highlighted with Angel Wings Shimmerz. Next I painted a piece of cardstock with Winter's Mist Shimmerz and used it as a background, with a thin mat of black in between. The sentiment is from the new Filled to the Brim set and I finished off with a silver photo corner embellishment. Snow cute!

For my second card I pulled out this sweet snowman and birdie image from the You're Snow Amazing set. I stamped and then colored with Copic markers, adding all sorts of shimmery highlights with Angel Wings Shimmerz. The sentiment is stamped in black and then I used the teeny snowflakes in the set to stamp in Angel Wings and then while it was still wet sprinkled a bit of extra fine glitter on it for a little extra texture.

I love how easy cardmaking is when you have such fantastic images. Even a simple layout like this shines with Shimmerz!

Poinsettia Christmas Card | Melinda

Hello crafty friends,

Melinda here with you today, sharing another card creation featuring the amazing Shimmerz Paints.

My finished cardis a standard A2 top folding size. The base is plain white cardstock. In fact, everything started out with plain white cardstock! I cannot resist starting with plain white cardstock and watching what this amazing product range will do!

I created and cut my Poinsettia and border pieces. I used Honeymoon Inklingz for the flower pieces and Freshly Minted Inklingz for the leaves. I really like the Inklingz range of products. They are so creamy and glide on the paper so smoothly. I added some pearls and a larger embellishment to the centers of my flowers.

For the little swirls, I added some Puttin’ On The Glitz Pasteez. It gives them a soft sparkle without looking too overdone. You can also see the background here. I started with plain white cardstock, ran it through my embossing machine with an embossing folder and then painted it with some Angel’s Kiss and Misty Morning Inklingz. I then spritzed it with my Jeni B Bleu Vibez. Love all the shimmer and interest it has.

Here’s just another look at the flowers. I cut them in two sizes so I would have one larger flower as my focal point and then have a couple of smaller ones nestled by it.
