Shimmerz Tiles

Hello! Ericka here and today I'm sharing a fun bright card I made with Vibez sprays and hexagon dies.

I love these beautiful and bright colors. I started by spraying Vibez in Sweet Heart, Hermit the Frog, and Jeni B Bleu on photo paper and then set it aside to dry. It takes a bit of time to dry since the photo paper has a coating so the color doesn't soak in as quickly.

Once the papers were dry, I took the Hexagon dies and ran them through my die cutting machine.

I arranged the hexagon pieces and adhered them to the card base with foam tape for some added dimension.

I die cut the Pinkfresh Hello sentiment three times and glued the pieces together and attached it to my card to finish it.

Ruffled Posey with Shimmerz | Ericka StrangeB

Hello everyone, Ericka here with a peony card I made using a digital stamp my friend Rachel Vass created and has available in her Etsy store.

I love using Inklingz and Creameez to watercolor this beautiful peony. I started by printing the flower on watercolor paper using my Brother printer. I was going for a no-line watercolor look, so decreased the line transparency when I printed the image.

I started off with a layer of Beets Me Inklingz and then, when the petal was still wet, daubed in a little Lapis Dance Creameez for a pretty multicolored flower. For the leaves I used a combination of Lettuce Get Together Creameez and Emerald City Inklingz.

Once my the flower was dry, I fussy cut it and added some string around the base. I sprayed Sweet Heart Vibez on some eggplant cardstock and added some flicks of Beets Me Inklingz. to it as well. I stamped the sentiment in WOW Embossing ink and heat embossed it with some sparkly Cloud 9 embossing powder.

I used some 3D Zots to adhere the flower to the card base to finish off my card.

Shimmery Hello | Ericka Strange

Hello everyone, Ericka here with a quick card I made using some vibrant Shimmerz Vibez Sprays.

I love using Vibez and combining colors to see what happens. For this card I sprayed several layers of Sweet Heart Vibez on some watercolor paper. I let the layer dry and repeated the steps with with Pink Moscato and Princess. Remember the more layers of spray, the darker the color.

Once my background was dry, I used Versamark ink and white heat embossed the background stamp. I also added another spritz of the Sweet Heart Vibez. I die cut the Hello from black card stock three times and layered them together. I wanted a little sparkle on the sentiment so used some Before Dawn Vibez and painted it on.

I also used my paintbrush to flick some Before Dawn on the card to add a little black. I finished the card off with some Ebony Nuvo drops.

Encourage One Another | Ericka Strange

Happy 2020! Ericka here and I hope you are having a great start to the new year. Do you make New Year's Resolutions? To be honest, I'm not very good at resolutions, but the last couple of years I've been picking one word for the year. This year it is ENCOURAGE and so today I'm playing with some Vibez sprays and making encouraging card sets.

For my cards, I used the Pinkfresh Studio Floral Square die set paired with the Hero Arts Pinkfresh You Make A Difference stamp set for the sentiments.

I started by spraying Vibez in a variety of pinks using Sweet Heart, Pink Moscato, and RazzleDazzle Berry on watercolor paper. (I'll use the Gray Flannel on another project.)

I die cut the watercolor panels and then alternated using white and black cardstock for the frames and background.

I love all of these these shades of pink and the ways they look on both black and white cardstock. Here are a couple of close ups with the same Vibez colors but different backgrounds.

The shine of all these products is amazing!

I had a small amount of Vibez watercolor paper left so I made one more card using each of the colors.

These cards were so fun and quick to make and I'm hoping to make a couple more sets soon to give to friends and teachers throughout the year.

Feel free to include your word for the year in the comments. I love reading what people have picked and what the word means for them. Thanks for stopping by and check out my blog Strangely Creative for more information on the products I used. Have a wonderful day!

Shimmerz Christmas Tagz | Ericka Strange

Hey Shimmerz fanz! Ericka here and I'm just popping in today with some quick Christmas tags I made using a variety of the Shimmerz sprays and the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry set.

I had so much fun playing with these sprays and finding beautiful colors to blend together. I used watercolor paper so was able to add as much spray and water to my tags as I wanted to get some pretty blends.

For the first tag, I used Vibez Princess and Vibez Sweet Heart. I love the shine the Vibez spray has and it makes a beautiful background.

This tag has a blend of Vibez Hermit the Frog and Coloringz Well Blue Me Down. I love the vibrant look of these two sprays together.
The Vibez has the beautiful shine while the Coloringz adds more pigment without the shine.

My next tag is a little more masculine with the darker colors. I used Vibez Grey Flannel with the Coloringz Blue Me Down.

On my last tag, I the same Vibez Hermit the Frog and Coloringz Well Blue Me Down but this time less of the green and more of the blue.  This tag is a little more grungy since I accidentally stamped the back of the snowflake and white heat embossed it. I then stamped the right side of the snowflake and heat embossed it with a pink. Still fun but a little more grungy.

That's all for me today. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget if you make a purchase on our new website, type in ERICKA in the comments and you'll receive a freebie with your order!

Your Awesome / Miranda Webber

Hello Friends! It is Miranda here and I really love this layout!  I am doing another Football photo of my daughter's first season in the United States.  We are supposed to use colors that we never used before.  I have a few of them in this layout but if you don't know how to use a certain color or if you have that color that you bought, and it is just sitting in your stash.  This month is for you!

Each and every one of us gives you inspiration for those colors that just sit in your stash! Alright, back to the layout!

I started out doing a sun raise with two pastes and stencils to make the background with just more dimension.  While I love how this turned out just by doing that, I wanted to add color, I found four different colors to go around the sun raise!

Shimmerz colors that I chose worked wonderful for Echo Park,  Teen Spirit Collection.  The four colors are Vibez Sweet Heart, Vibez Snow Way Man, Vibez Princess, and Spritz Hint of Mint.  I Just love just adding that simple color to already wonderful background, just adds that little something more to it!

After letting everything dry, it is time for the embellishments to the layout along with paper layers. I wanted to keep the color feel going so I added all the same color or close to it while I was going around the layout.

I did end with the color I don't use that much and that is Shimmerz Shimmeringz Heavy Metal.  It ended the layout gorgeous!  I hope you enjoy this layout!!

Until Next Time!

Fall | Kelly Janes

Hey Shimmerz fans! Kelly here today with a new 12x12 Fall themed scrapbook layout!

I started my layout today by grabbing the Paige Evans Truly Grateful Collection and three Shimmerz colors that match; Cotton Candy Spritz, Plum Pudding Spritz, and Sweetheart Vibez. I added clear and white gesso to the background patterned paper before adding any of the mists.

I cut a Fall themed cut file from The Cut Shoppe using the Truly Grateful 6x8 patterned papers and used those 3 colors behind the cut files. I used the packaging technique, a brush, splattered and misted the colors directly on the background to get the coverage I was looking for.

I then adhered the cut file images on top of the mixed media. The colors were a little too bold in the center of each letter so I painted watered down white acrylic paint in the opening of each letter to mute the mixed media in that area.

I then moved onto adding 8 tiny photos and embellishing. I grabbed multiple Fall themed embellishments from the same Paige Evans collection and I also added hand-stitching around each of the letters to help them pop off the background.

Now you can take a look at my process video to see how this layout came together from start to finish.

I love how versatile the Shimmerz mists are and how the possibilities are endless!

Here for You Always

Hello Shimmerz fanz! Ericka here today with a shimmery card using a bunch of fun Shimmerz products.

I love all these fun colors together and how pretty they are on this Butterfly Blossom from Reverse Confetti. I started by stamping the butterfly with Versfine ink and clear heat embossing it. Then I picked out a mixture of Shimmerz, Creameaz, and Inklingz that would look pretty together.

I painted my butterfly with the following:
Shimmerz - Tickle Me Turquoise, Royal Purple, Jilted Jade, Bumbly Bee, and Bubble Gum Blast
Creameaz - Lettuce Get Together and 1 Hot Mama
Inklingz - Precious Peony

While the butterfly dried, I worked on a background. I decided to take Vibez Princess and Sweet Heart and spray them on my craft mat and take some plastic and smoosh it on my watercolor paper. I also sprayed Shimmeringz Goldie Lox all over the base to give a light shimmer and then splattered a little Glorious Day for some golden yellow highlights,

Once my panel dried, I used a die cut on the base and popped up the middle with some foam tape. I also added foam tape to the butterfly and finished the card with some sequins. Check out the pretty shine of all of these fun Shimmerz Paints products.
