Painting a Holiday Die Cut | Audrey Yeager

 Hello everyone and Happy Holidays!

Each year, I do 12 Days of Holiday Scrapping with process videos on my YouTube Channel.  On the first day of scrapping, I used my true love: SHIMMERZ paintz!  :)

I cut this cut file from white cardstock with my Silhouette, and then used a paintbrush to paint the leaves.  For the leaves, I used: Creamez "Pining for You"; Inklingz "Holly and Ivy"; Shimmerz "Celery"; Inklingz "Twinkle Twinkle";  and Creamez "Red Neckin"

I backed just a few of the leaves with patterned paper, and on the silver ones, I used some sparkly, snowy confetti to add some shine and texture.  I backed my word die cuts with coordinating patterned paper as well.

I gessoed my background patterned paper, and used the packaging technique and some water-coloring to add a place for my photo to rest. For the background I used: Shimmerz "Going Peach Side"Shimmerz "Pink Caviar"; and Creamez "Red Neckin".  Then I splattered with some Inklingz "Twinkle Twinkle".

Finally, I glued everything to my page, machine stitched over the edges of the die cuts, and added a few embellishments here and there.

You can watch my entire process below!

Thanks so much for watching and Happy Holidays!

Ice Cream Dream! Scrapbook Layout & Process Video | Amanda Baldwin

Hi Shimmerz Friends & Fans!

Amanda here, and today I am sharing a super sweet scrapbook layout featuring a few of my favorite Shimmerz Paints products!
Here's my Ice Cream Dream layout.....

Dreamy, indeed!
Summer never looked quite so sweet!

You'll spy lots of Shimmery goodness here:

and

Told you it was my favorites!!!
Here's a closer look for you.....

For this pretty page, I hand paint the Floral Frame 01 cut file from Cut To You, with Shimmerz Celery and Key Lime for the leaves, and then Shimmerz Lilac Blossom & Vibez Sweet Heart for the blooms. I just love how good this combination looks! Super pretty!

For my cardstock base, I apply a Peonies stencil with Dazzlerz: I Lilac You. Once dry, I fill around the stencil area with Creameez: Sky's The Limit & apply a few splatters of Vibez Princess too!

It's a really soft and subtle result, and flatters the delicacy of my design!

To embellish my darling photogrpah & page, I am using the beautiful Ice Cream Parlour digital collection from Tinker N Co Digital. I love that with digital collections you can print off as many die cuts and papers as you need!

You'll also spy some of the Freezin' For A Reason sequins from our friends at Spiegel Mom Scraps. Yay! Everything coordinates so beautifully!

Good Vibes | Niki Rowland

Hi everyone, Niki back with you today with a very colourful layout to share! I went rainbow crazy with lots of Shimmerz Paints and the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness collection.

To create the background I started off by finding the middle point of a piece of Marshmallow card. I then drew a starburst very lightly in pencil. I then filled in each section of the starburst with different Shimmerz Paints.

I'm in love with Creameez at the moment, The colour is so intense. The more water added, the less intense they are, but if you only add a small amount of water the colour is very rich.

The colours I used are:

I applied all these using the packaging technique. I blotted the colours inbetween applications so that they didn't run into each other too much. When they were a little bit dry, I then added flicks of the same colours over each coordinating colour block.

When my background was dry I added my photos and a few layers of patterned paper. I then went crazy with the colour-on-colour embellishment where I used ephemera, sequins and stickers.

I love how this layout turned out! It is so bright and happy and I am really in love with rainbows at the moment! Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you have enjoyed this layout.

Lazy Days | Niki Rowland

Hey lovely Shimmerz Fans, Niki here today and I have a layout to share where I've applied beautiful Shimmerz Paints to a cut file. The cut file is by Paige Evans and was included in the first Missy Widden Kit.

The cut file is so beautiful. I choose to cut it from mixed media cardstock and then I applied different colours of Shimmerz. I have used:

I used the packaging technique to apply the colour to the cut file. Once the different colours were dry, I then added splatters in the same colours to the cut file. I also applied Dazzlers Spun Sugar Texture Paste over the top to the entire file. I just added this with my fingertip so it was left with a slight texture and a lovely shimmer.

When my cut file was completely dry I attached it to the layout. I then added more paint splatters in the same colours around the outside of the heart.

I added my photo, a background paper by Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness collection as well as a number of embellishments from the same collection. I also added a few acrylic hearts and an acrylic title. The acrylics are by a UK company called Bramble Fox.
Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you've enjoyed this layout, I loved creating it and am delighted with how it turned out. To recap which products I used they are:

Start the Day Right | Julee Tilman

Hi Shimmerz friends! It's Julee Tilman here to share a shimmery card with you today.

I know spring is still a ways away, but I'm definitely wanting to brighten up these gloomy January days with some color in my craft room. This sweet bicycle die cut was sitting on my desk, so I thought I would do a little painting.

I painted the bike body with Crimson Tide Shimmerz and Sweet Heart Vibez.  The seat, kickstand, pedal and tires are done with Silver Bells and Coal Shimmerz, and I finished the basket off with So Sappy and Coffee Shimmerz.  I thought the bike could use some flowers to spruce it up, so pulled out the Lovely Balloons Stampz and stamped the two floral sprays and another basket.  Then I painted with the same colors as above, adding in Celery and Evergreen Shimmerz for the greenery.

For the background, I wanted a neutral color, so chose a brick stencil to sponge on some Silver Bells.  I then went back in with a mix of silver bells and coal to add in some accents on some of the bricks.  It's so very shimmery.  My sentiment choice is from the Fresh Start Stampz set and I thought it fit perfectly for a a January card.  I sponged around the edges of the brick panel with black ink and then added a bit more at the bottom to give the bike a place to rest.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Shimmerz shop for all the colorful products I used today:

Fresh Start Stampz
Crimson Tide Shimmerz
Silver Bells Shimmerz
Coal Shimmerz
So Sappy Shimmerz
Coffee Shhimmerz
Celery Shimmerz

Never Stop Dreaming

Hi everyone! Melissa Larson here with my first page of the month for Shimmerz Paints!  I love the quality of these paints, I feel I can really express my love of nature with them.

To briefly describe how I made this page, I put texture paste on with a stencil, then mounted the photo on watercolor paper. I cut up chipboard and die cuts and glued them all around the pic. I put the flowers and some of the embellies on, then started painting. There are a lot of layers of Shimmerz and Inklingz. The gold is mica powder.

Here's a list of the colors I used:

Thanks so much for looking, and have a great week!
