Life Lessons Project with Shimmerz Spritz

Today I'd like to share a project that I created using some fabulous Shimmerz Spritz colors: Bed of Roses (my favorite) and Eucalyptus.

I confess that I've been coveting one of those great 7 Gypsies artist painter's tray for a while now, but my local scrapbooking stores didn't have them in stock. So I resorted to finding something similar at the craft store. Well, I found a long wooden display frame which I painted black and then created the dividers with black cardstock. Here's how the completed frame turned out:

Each section has either a pocket or envelope where I've placed my journaling - the "hope" section has a stitched pocket made from glitter paper, the "love" section has a mini envelope made from vellum, and the "peace" section has a handmade cardstock envelope.

I sprayed a combination of both Bed of Roses and Eucalyptus Spritz colors onto the piece of doily in the first section titled "Life Lessons" as well as the cardstock envelope in the "peace" section. I also sprayed the chipboard letters with Shimmerz Spritz to get the neat speckled effect on the chipboard letters that spell "life", "hope" and "peace". You can get the same effect by quickly drying it with a heat embossing tool.

The next time you'd like to try something different with your chipboard alphas, give them a little spritz! You'll probably love the result just as much as I did!

Thanks for visiting today! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Blinking Robots

As I was creating pages with the cute "Robots Unplugged" collection by My Little Shoebox . . . all I could think about was making them blink and flash with Shimmerz Paints. :)

I used an embossing folder on the chipboard letters. Then to accent the texture, I filled in each little circle with Tickle Me Turquoise Shimmerz. (I also accented the robot and his ice cream cone with Tickle Me Turquoise, Poinsettia Pink, and Key Lime Shimmerz. The ice cream cone is accented with Pixie Dust Blingz to make it sparkle.)

For the bookpaper ruffles, I used Eucalyptus and Baby's Breath Spritz by Shimmerz. Love the way it adds texture and dimension around the page.

Spritz on burlap

I love to play with Spritz on fabric. On this layout I sprayed Sea Foam and Eucalyptus Spritz on strips of burlap. I cut out a "frame" from the patterned paper, then I tucked the burlap strips underneath the frame for a little extra added color and texture.

This is me and my daugther. There is nothing better in the world than having her little arms wrapped around me. Oh how I ADORE this little girl!!!

The papers and the chipboard alphas and arrow are from Bo Bunny.

Thanks for stopping by!!

My Number

Hi, Lucy here, with a layout I created using a die cut paper as a mask. I used a number die cut paper by KI Memories over dark brown cardstock and Shimmerz Spritz in Treasured Hymn and then highlighted with Eucalyptus to make the title area a little lighter. Don't the colors just pop on the dark background? I love that iridescent quality in Shimmerz products!! The other supplies are all from the October kit from A Million Memories.

The story behind this layout is about my 4 year old wanting to 'change' her number to 6......lol. I accented the 4 & 6 by hand stitching the numbers to make them pop.
Thanks and see you soon!

Sweet Friend

Hi, Lucy here - with a project perfect for a gift or home decor. In the September kit from A Million Memories we had a fun Bingo book by Jenni Bowlin that picked up Shimmerz Spritz beautifully - I used Eucalyptus on the background. Then, I printed off some cute animal cards from a FREE digital download from AMM and embellished with some Cosmo Cricket papers.

The flower was made by cutting graduated sizes of a flower with my Slice from old book pages and misting with Barn Door Red Shimmerz Spritz, then painting the edges with Fire Engine Red Shimmerz to accent. Layer the dried layers together with a Sassafras flower or button.

Thanks and see you soon,

Lucy

Hi, Lucy Edson, here - my first post as a Shimmerz Design Team member! I am so excited to start sharing some of the projects I have created using Shimmerz with you all! A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to try out these incredible products and WOW!! The shimmer and shine is incredible - these photos don't ever do the shine justice!

Ok, so what did I use and a brief description: This is a project I created using one of Webster's Pages newest lines - Winter's Wings and Shimmerz Spritz in Eucalyptus, Barn Red, Blingz in Gold Glimmer.

I dripped some Blingz Gold Glimmer to mimic water droplets.

The flowers were made from book pages and misted with Shimmerz Sprayz in Barn Door - the mist softens the paper and gives it a wonderful soft crumpled look.

Shimmerz Spritz in Eucalyptus over a Maya Road circles mask.

The complete layout - I love the soft watery feel from the misting and masking.

Thanks for letting me share and see you soon!
