Love using Shimmerz Paints like watercolours and give them a try with watercolour paper. The results are so very cool!

It's all fun!

Hey Shimmerz fans! Just wanted to pop in and share a couple of new layouts using Shimmerz with you all this morning!

I love the subtle effect of using this Martha Stewart butterfly punch as a mask with some Rock-A-Fella Blue over it. It created a wonderful backdrop for the fun new papers from Sassafras Lass Cherry Delight.
And a little tip for your Spritz - I take the mister out of the bottle and let it drip onto the page for larger random splashes of color - here I used Vibez - Grape Escape and Sunset Strip.

Fun with beads

Here is a fun little layout I created using beads and Shimmerz. I just love these photos of Alex learning how to blow bubbles this summer. I wanted to replicate the "bubbles" on the page so I came up with this idea to use beads.
I was out of town when the idea came so I had to play a bit when I got home. I have a huge box of beads. The small ones were too small. I like the larger ones and I love the impression they left on the page.
I grabbed a bunch and randomly placed them on the page. I made sure all the holes were looking up because I wanted the round impression. I used Rock-A-Fella Blue Shimmerz Spritz for the background. I waited a bit for the page to dry before I removed the beads.
This is what it looks like now. I sprayed the Rock-A-Fella Blue Spritz really heavy in some places because I wanted it to look like water droplets. I punched 3/4" circles from cardstock and painted them with December Sky Blingz. Look at all the shimmer.

What do you think? Give it a try. This would make a perfect background for a different layout.

Sending Baskets Full Of...

All the supplies have been sent to me by Magnolia – except the tag – i have spritzed it with several Shimmerz spritz to give it shimmer and some of the white roses i have spritzed with Shimmerz new Vintage color “Rock-a-falla-blue” to match my papers. this Shimmerz has lots of silver shimmer in it. Very pretty!

I just love all the great projects everyone has posted using the beautiful new fall vintage colors!!

Here's another project I made using some of the new colors. I was lucky enough to be the guest designer for Pencil Lines sketch challenge blog last week, and this was the layout I made to go along with the sketch I created for them:

I used Treasured Hymn Spritz and Antique Lace Shimmerz paint on the Prima felt border, and I used Rock-a-fella blue and Sapphire Spritz on the flowers and the butterfly.

I added some crocheting and a little glitter for good measure. The papers are from Webster's Pages (I was thrilled to also be their guest designer last month!).
