12x12 Scrapbook Layout | January 2024 Kits | Erica Rose

 Hello friends! Erica here on the blog with you today and I am excited to share a 12x12 scrapbook using the January 2024 kits! 

I am so in love with this months paper and color kits! It is made up of my favorite colors and I am so in love with black and white stripes! I  new I had to use the black & white stripe paper in this kit first! I paired it with the fun black circles pattern paper. I thought it would be fun to use some of the circles as frames for my photos. 

I trimmed the black and white stripe paper and covered up all but two rows of the circle pattern paper. To break up the two papers I created a pink scallop border.

To add some color behind the photos I used the Cotton Candy Spritz from the January 2024 Color Kit to add the pretty pink in four of the circles. I sprayed of the Cotton Candy Spritz  onto a piece of plastic packaging and then used my paint brush to add it to the pattern paper. I made sure to add a little bit of clear gesso to the circles to help my paper not to warp. Once it dried I adding my photos with foam adhesive. 

Next I added in some of the ephemera pieces from the January 2024 Paper Collection. To finish off the layout I created a small embellishment cluster in the bottom right corner of the layout. 

I used some small black puffy stickers from my stash to add the year on the label and a small black puffy heart to the center of the flower die cut.

Small Steps Everyday Using the January Color Kits

Hey all, Nicole here with my second project for the month.  I am using the January Color Kits to document me and my hubby on our evening walk.

The first thing that I did for this page was put some clear gesso down on this blue paper with hearts.  I then sprayed on the Rose to the Occasion Splash and the Cotton Candy Spritz.  I let those dry and then I added the It's Mint To Be Shimmerz over the top of them.

I fussy cut out a bunch of flowers to add to my layout.  I built up my photo with a bunch of the patterned papers, then added the fussy cut flowers among the different layers.

I then finished up my layout by adding some of the embellishments from the kit and then splattering with the Black Hole Splash!

Happy November Moments Using the January Color Kitz

Hey all, Nicole here with my first layout for the Shimmerz design team!  I'm making a pocket page to celebrate all the random lift moments from November using the January Color Kitz!

During my unboxing video I used all the colors that came in the kit on a sheet of mixed media paper.  I used that same paper to cut out some 3x4 cards for my layout.  I then used this blue grid paper from the kit for another one of the 3x4 cards.

I used all the little embellishments from the kit to make my page really pop!

To use this in my album I decided to mount all the cards and pictures on a piece of white cardstock.  That way I don't have to worry about having a special pocket page protector and can use it with my regular old 12x12 page protectors that I already have!
