Fairy Junebug

I love using Shimmerz products for sprucing up a fairy image. I'm slightly partial to fairies so I usually have a good excuse to use Shimmerz paints. hehe!

I love this gal's long legs....wish mine were that long!

What I used: Fairy Junebug stamp from All That Scraps, Stampin' Up! cardstock, Neenah white, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders dies, Memento ink, Copic markers, Basic Grey half-back pearls, Making Memories pattern paper, Fiskars edge punch, yellow ink for sponging, Shimmerz Spritz in Baby's Breath, Shimmerz Paintz in Marigold.

See in the second picture all that SPARKLE? That is our "new" Shimmerz Spritz with some Marigold painted into her hair.

Thanks for stopping by the Shimmerz blog today! Hope you have a great weekend!

Getting ready for MY favorite holiday...

Hey, with a last name of Love, what do you expect, right?

Ooh y'all! Are you as excited as I am about these new Blingz colors!? Yikes! These are going to be perfect for creating fantastic Shimmerz'd cards and stuff for your sweetie pie. :)

These little cupid girls from All That Scraps are just begging to be Shimmerz'd, right?! I used the new Pixie Dust Blingz on her wings and a bit of the Hottie Pink Blingz for her shoes and the Prima flower. Here is a bit closer so you can see just how sparkly these really are!

Don't forget to enter the blog candy on this post where you can win your own set of these new Blingz colors!

Have a happy day!

Shimmery Watercoloring

No, it isn't a new product line. LOL! I'm guessing we all own some sort of watercoloring medium whether it be watercolor crayons or pots or palettes or reinkers or just a colored ink pad smooshed onto an acrylic block works, too. And we may not own shimmery watercolors, but we sooo wish we had them. Well, all you have to do is take your favorite watercoloring medium, mix some onto a palette and then use just a dot of Shimmerz Paints to mix onto the palette with your color. Voila! Shimmerz watercolors! :) Just a little help to stretch your stamping dollars (which we could all use a little of these days!)

You can see it a bit better in this second photograph. See how it is just a little shimmery? Neato, huh?

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

The Shimmerz-iest Snowmen in all of Snow-ville!

When I saw these new Blingz (do you not looove that name?) I was so excited! Do you know how hard it is to find a "good gold" paint or otherwise? Let me just tell you, as a person who is a magpie, it is hard to find.

But this Gold Glimmer Blingz hits a HOME RUN!

I used both Gold Glimmer and the new December sky Blingz as well as Burgundy, Celery, Marigold and Angel wings Shimmerz.

I used sort of a mix of traditional and non-traditional wintery colors to create my card. I was looking through my stacks of paper and ran across this lovely Crate Paper pattern, and I thought the little flowers would be fun to use on a wintery card. :)

And when I was in Michael's today, I came across this beautiful ribbon that was sort of glittery and beautiful, but my husband was with me and he pretty much vetoed me buying another roll of ribbon (I may have a bit of a problem...LOL!) So I decided to try my had at making a shimmery ribbon so I took a length of Soft Sky (SU!, ret.) ribbon and brushed some December Sky Blingz over it. Instant results!

I included some up-close shots so you can see the details. If you have any questions, just ask me...I'm happy to help! :)

Enjoy and have a VERY Shimmerz-ey day!
