April 2025 Color Kitz | My Sunshine Layout | Stephanie Dang

Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie Dang, and I'm back on the blog today to share my next project using this month’s color kitz. What better way to welcome spring than a layout filled with fun colors and cute images? You will find all supplies to recreate the layout at the bottom of my blog post.

Step 1: Start with blue stripe paper for background. Trim 1/4" inch off each edge of the orange grid paper. Prep with white gesso around center. Let dry.

Step 2: Add Wee Bit O Green Shimmerz, Pip-Pip Cerry-O Shimmerz, and Born to Be Blue Coloringz to page using brush with water. Adding splatters with each color that you use. Add your photos framed in white cardstock.

Step 3: Color in the sun, umbrella, hot air balloon, boots, and frog. Add them to layout as seen.

Step 4: Add the rest of the embellishments such as the tab, title, phrase, and tree.

Step 5: Add all enamels and dotz (Spring). Finish with stitching on the tab and around the border of layout.

• Shimmerz Paints APRIL 2025 Color Kitz,  Wee Bit O' Green Shimmerz (this month's exclusive kit color), Pip-Pip Cherry-O Shimmerz, Born To Be Blue Coloringz (this month's exclusive kit color), gesso, white cardstock, foam adhesive, sewing machine and thread, and regular adhesive.

April 2021 Color Kitz || Natalie Dill

 Hey, sparkly friends! Natalie here today with a layout using this month's color kitz. They're full of beautiful, spring colors this month.

The April 2021 color kitz contain:

• It's Mint to Be Shimmerz 
• *NEW* Sweet Baby Girl Shimmeringz
• Pixie Dust Blingz
• *NEW* So Blue-ti-ful Spritz
• 1 exclusive layered process "Some Bunny Loves You" cut file created by Shimmerz Paints 
• 1 set of Dotz
• 1 package of *EXCLUSIVE* Spiegelmom Scraps Sequins "Baby Stella"

I used the Mother of Pearl Foilz to create three separate flower sections in a visual triangle on my gessoed paper.

I then painted each of the three sections with the colors from the April Color Kitz. After the first layer dried, I applied a second layer for a higher level of color. 

After the second layer dried, I added splatters in the corresponding colors.

I cut the exclusive cut file from pink cardstock, and added shine with the Pixie Dust Blingz.

I embellished with the bunny Dotz, and sprinkled the adorable Baby Stella sequins around in multi-faceted clusters. The adorable pink bunny sequins are so unique!

Natalie here using the April Color Kitz, and it's SO FULL of spring goodness!

The kits include: 

• Something Like Blue Inklingz: A new exclusive color to this kit. This color is a blue watercolor with a grey undertone. Much like cloudy skies on a rainy day.
• Wave of Blue Inklingz: A new exclusive color to this kit. This color is a medium denim blue jeans water color.
• Cold as Ice Vibez
• Chick-A-Dee Spritz
• Don't Citron Me Coloringz
• Limoncello Shimmerz
• 1 exclusive Sweet Rainbow cut file created by Shimmerz Paints
• 1 package of daisy buttons.
• 1 set of "Sunshine mixed with a Little Huricaine" Dotz
• 1 set of Shimmerz Paints Stencil with dewdrops.

You can catch the full process video on my YouTube channel. I did an inverted triangular shape in white gesso, then applied the Chick-a-dee Spritz and Limoncello in the top left of the triangle. I allowed it to mostly dry before applying Waves of  Blue Inklingz and a Cold as Ice Vibez in the top right.

I applied the Don't Citron Me Coloringz in the bottom triangle point, with a touch of the Something like Blue Inklingz above. I love the shimmer mixed with flat color!

After allowing the paint to completely dry, I pulled some white matte texture paste through the raindrop stencil in three places around the painted area.

I glued down my title well since things don't like to stick well to gesso. I also used my Nuvo glue to adhere the adorable daisies from the Color Kitz.

How cute are the You are My Sunshine Dotz!?

I love creating clusters with my dotz.

I used the cloud dotz to add green at the top of my page.
