Makin' it Vintage ... Creating on Canvas
Happy Tuesday! I've got 2 projects to share with you today.
For this first layout, I desperately wanted to cut out parts of this paper by Pink Paislee and use it on my page, but the white in the design was too stark for the vintage layout I was creating.

The perfect solution to my dilemia, was to use a combo of Vibez Penny Pincher and Spritz Mudpie on the black/white floral paper to give it the vintage feel I was looking for.
Check it out.

This second project was an absolute blast to make. I can say without a doubt that Shimmerz products are FABULOUS to use on canvas!
Before doing anything else, I Spritzed the canvas with Vibez Hot Fudge. I then painted the paper house, tree stem and flower tree with a combo of Antique Lace and Butter Cream. I then Spritz the house and tree pieces with Vibez Snow Storm.
After all the handstitching and adhering of the paper pieces was complete, I finished it off by Spritzing the whole project with a light coat of Tuscan Sun.

CPS #138 and Shimmerz
I die cut the butterfly from old book pages using my Cuttlebug die. I sprayed the butterfly with Licorice Shimmerz Spritz and then painted with December Sky Blingz, Golden Wheat and Bubble Gum Shimmerz. I used a heat gun to set each color before moving to the next color.
The journaling note is sprayed with Tuscan Sun, Sea Foam and Licorice Shimmerz Spritz.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you get a chance to play.

Shimmerz And Paper Popsicles
Shimmerz takes center stage on this thank you card! I started by painting a piece of white cardstock with Tickle Me Turquoise shimmerz to create my own bling cardstock.
I stamped the flowers onto patterned paper, cut them out and painted with Pixie Dust blingz before adhering to the card. I think pixie dust is one of the most versatile of the blingz because you can paint over any patterned paper and still see the pattern...just with a little more sparkle!
For my layout, I used Baby's Breath and Tuscan Sun spritz and Pixie Dust Blingz. I wanted to tone down the brightness of the white in the background paper so that it coordinated with the other papers I used for this layout. I placed the background paper on a plastic bag and lightly spritzed the entire surface with Tuscan Sun shimmerz.
I dragged the torn edge of one of my patterned papers through the excess spritz that was left on the bag to get the look seen here.
