Fun with beads

Here is a fun little layout I created using beads and Shimmerz. I just love these photos of Alex learning how to blow bubbles this summer. I wanted to replicate the "bubbles" on the page so I came up with this idea to use beads.
I was out of town when the idea came so I had to play a bit when I got home. I have a huge box of beads. The small ones were too small. I like the larger ones and I love the impression they left on the page.
I grabbed a bunch and randomly placed them on the page. I made sure all the holes were looking up because I wanted the round impression. I used Rock-A-Fella Blue Shimmerz Spritz for the background. I waited a bit for the page to dry before I removed the beads.
This is what it looks like now. I sprayed the Rock-A-Fella Blue Spritz really heavy in some places because I wanted it to look like water droplets. I punched 3/4" circles from cardstock and painted them with December Sky Blingz. Look at all the shimmer.

What do you think? Give it a try. This would make a perfect background for a different layout.

For this layout I used rub-ons to create my own patterned paper. I have a box full of rub-ons and sometimes I don't know what to do with them. These particular rub-ons were on a sheet, 8 1/2 x 4 inches. I placed them on white cardstock and started rubbing. What is fun about these is that you can paint them with any Shimmerz color to match your layout. I know you have some.

I used Royal Red and Golden Wheat Shimmerz paint and December Sky Blingz . I didn't add anything else. This is what Shimmerz and Blingz looks like. It reflects light and it shimmerz.

Use a paint brush to dip some color and have fun!

CPS #138 and Shimmerz

Hi, Daniela here, with my take on CPS #138 sketch. I made this card with polka dot paper that I made by stamping and embossing. The background is Crate Paper and then I used a journaling note, for my butterfly and the sentiment.I die cut the butterfly from old book pages using my Cuttlebug die. I sprayed the butterfly with Licorice Shimmerz Spritz and then painted with December Sky Blingz, Golden Wheat and Bubble Gum Shimmerz. I used a heat gun to set each color before moving to the next color.
The journaling note is sprayed with Tuscan Sun, Sea Foam and Licorice Shimmerz Spritz.
