Sweet Heart | Melissa Minor | February Color Kitz

 Hi friends! Melissa Minor here on the blog today. I'm creating a Valentine scrapbook layout. The picture I'm scrapbooking is of my daughter Taitym & I. I'm so lucky to be her mom. I'm using the February Color Kitz. 

I started my layout by pulling out all the paint sprays from the Color Kitz: Pretty in Pink-Coloringz, Gladiola-Vibez, and Cardinal Sin-Color Splash. I sprayed each of these colors onto some SBC Mixed Media 8.5x11 cardstock. After those paints were dry I splattered with the Silver Bells-Shimmerz from the Bonus Bundle. I pulled out a heart die and was able to die cut 7 hearts from the cardstock sheet.

I decided to turn one of the hearts into a shaker element. I cut a piece of acetate and a top cardstock layer for my heart. I used the Bonus Bundle sequins and sealed up the heart shaker. Next I placed the stickers that came right in the kit onto the hearts. I wanted them to look like candy conversational hearts. I think by using the sticker words they really do look like the candy hearts that you see around Valentine's Day. 

One of my favorite items included in the Color Kits are the Epoxy Dotz. I placed the lip dotz in the upper right hand corner of the layer with some tangled thread behind it. I pulled out a few of the ephemera embellishments and placed around my photo. To complete my layout I used the same paints and splattered all around my layout. You Are Mine Using the February Color Kitz Bundle

Hey all, Nicole here with my second layout this month using the February Color Kitz Bundle!  I am documenting me and my hubby again, I just can't get enough of him!  The first thing I did was make my back ground by splattering all the colors from the kits.

Next I used paper from the kit and my photo and did my paper piecing.  Once that was down I started my embellishing with the die cuts.

After my die cuts were down, I added some stickers and one of the epoxy dotz.  Then I finished with my journaling!

You + Me Using the February Color Kitz

Hey all, Nicole here with my newest layout using the February Color Kitz!  I started with this pic of me and my hubby from October.  I then used all the colors from the kit to make my background.

After I made the background, I painted some of the flowers from the paper kit and fussy cut out.  Then I started to build up my layout, adding some stenciling on the background and then my paper piecing.

After I had my paper where I wanted, I placed the flowers around my photo and then added stickers and die cuts.

February 2022 Color Kitz | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout using the beautiful February 2022 Color Kitz.  Make sure to check out my process video at the end of the post to see how this page came together!

While I was in my Silhouette software, I set the cut file to cut once and then duplicated the inside pieces and offset them so that they would be the perfect size to back it once I added the paints to them.  After everything was cut, I took the Confetti Stencil from the shop and applied paste through it on all of the backing pieces.  I set them aside to dry and went to the next step.

To create a pretty background, I took the Sunflower Shimmerz, Rednecking Creameez and Coral Reef Inklingz and painted them onto a thick piece of white cardstock.  Next, I took the Sea Glass Vibez and sprayed/painted it onto my backing pieces.  Before backing the cut file with those pieces, I added narrow foam strips to the back of my cut file to give it more interest.  

I adhered the completely backed cut file down to my background and got to work on the rest of my page.  I pulled in the Dotz and set my embellishment clusters based off of their placements.  Then, I added in the Heartz stickers from the kit into the clusters.  This kit matches the Sweet Talk collection by Simple Stories perfectly and I had so much fun embellishing. 

Those Heartz stickers are so cute!

This kit is beautiful and I am in love with the new Sea Glass Vibez!

Love My Girl | February Color Kitz | Niki Rowland

  

 

Hi everyone, this is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and I have a new layout and process video to share today using the February Color Kitz. The Kit contains five colours of Shimmerz Paints: Cloud Wine Vibez, Age Before Ruby Colouringz, Pink a Boo Inklingz, Angel Wings Shimmerz and Gold n Roses Blingz. These colours together are one beautiful combination!! 

 

The Kitz also contains a set of three Dotz, a diamond stencil and an exclusive cut file. The cut file is a set of flowers and they are gorgeous! I started off by applying Putting on the Glitz Dazzlerz texture paste through the stencil onto a white marshmallow background. Once dry I applied Angel Wings and Pink a Boo colours over the top. This really highlighted the stencilling and gave a lovely texture. I added lots of splatters in the different colours to the background too. 

 

 

I cut the cut file several times in different sizes. I then painted these using four colours: Cloud Wine Vibez, Age Before Ruby Colouringz, Pink a Boo Inklingz, and Gold n Roses Blingz. When they were dry I decided to back them with vellum for a really soft pretty look. 

 

I arranged my two photos onto my layout with all the painted cut file flowers in a horizontal design. I added fussy cut butterflies from the Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable collection and then added in two of the Dotz from the Color Kitz: the one with a flower on it and another with an '&' sign. I added a few pieces of ephemera and also some cute perspextives by Bramble Fox: Lovely Mail. These were letters with hearts and cherries..so cute! I also added a perspextive, the word 'love', for my title and extended the title with alphabet stickers, so the title reads 'love my girl'.

 

I added wood veneer letters (mail) to my layout which I painted with Pink a Boo Inklingz - I love how Shimmerz Paints go on to wood shapes so well!
