Falling for September Color Kitz with Samantha Robles

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous Labor Day weekend. A long weekend is the perfect time to get caught up in the crafting department. Shimmerz Paints released their new September Color Kitz Collections and the new Original Kitz is AAAAMAZING. It comes with a new exclusive color "Practice What You Peach" Spritz. This color goes on sheer in the first spray but it is a very buildable color. The more you spray it, the more vibrant it becomes. It goes from a peach flesh hue to a vibrant peachy pink hue quickly. It's stunning.

These colors are the perfect Fall staple. It's not your typical Fall kit. These colors can be used year round. What's included is:

  • In A Jam Creameez
  • The new exclusive color: Practice What You Peach Spritz
  • Keep Palm Vibez
  • Wisteria Lane Shimmerz
  • A new exclusive package of Dotz

What caught my eye though was a photo I had stashed away from an old layout that fell apart. It was my baby's first Fall and his first time experiencing leaves. It created the perfect inspiration to use with these colors.
Starting with a blank sheet of white heavy cardstock. I love heavy cardstock because the more you add to it, it doesn't bow or warp. I then used this Paige Evan's Cut File from her fabulous Etsy shop. I sprayed some with Practice What You Peach and painted some with Wisteria Lane Shimmerz. Wisteria Lane is a very soft darker lavender purple. The leaves were painted and sprayed with In A Jam Creameez and Keep Palm Vibez. After letting my pieces dry for an hour or so, I then hot glued all my pieces together. While my glued pieces were cooling, I backed the photo with some of my Truly Grateful Pink Paislee paper. This paper matches PERFECTLY with Keep Palm. Adding little pieces here and there of my journaling pieces from the same collection to add that finishing to backing the photo. Then I take more hot glue and add my flowers to the page.
I popped in the adorable Dotz available in the kit to play peek-a-boo between the flowers on both the top and bottom of the page.
The final piece is adding some journaling lines and some fun stickers on the bottom.

Super simple but that color makes the page POP. I'm all about keeping it simple. Don't overwhelm yourself or the page with ton's of details. Sometimes, the colors you use make the page what it is. That's why the September Kitz are amazing.

Thanks again for stopping by!
Happy Fall, y'all!
