Expression

Hi all!
I had some fun using Shimmerz Hermit the Frog, Sea Monkey and Tim Holtz's flourish mask. These papers already had an awesome background, but since I was doing a two pager, I wanted to tie them together somehow. So, I used the flourish mask on both sides, did some splattering too (with Licorice).

I also used Vintage Wine to paint white, foam Thickers this beautiful dark color.

Happy New Year!

Splatters....

are so easy to do. I love them so much. Here a few pages of my December Daily. You can check out more here.

I love how they add that little something special to a very simple page. (I caught the bf and tough guy taking a nap together)
I even splattered some on my photo = love.

The two colors I used here are Jenni B Bleu Vibez and Rocka-Fella-Blue Spritz.

What have you created lately using Shimmerz? Link me up, I would love to see!

Happy Creating

Halloween Card

hi all!
I wanted to show you a fun Halloween card I made.
I used Grape Escape on my white/black polka dot ribbon. I love Grape Escape so much that I think I am going to spritz my whole body in it and go to work that way. Nobody will notice, ya think? :D
I used Spritz Concrete and Purple Passion for the crow and 'happy halloween' cut outs.
hope you have enjoyed!
HAPPY HAUNTING!

Halloween Tag Invitations

Hi all! Are you all ready for Halloween?

I made some fun Halloween invitation using tags.
I learned this technique from Tim Holtz and was curious to see if it worked with Shimmerz paints. It did!
I sprayed some colors down on my craft mat and laid my blank tag, face first, down in the paint.
Then, I dried with my heat gun.
I then, took my tag and slapped it, face down again, down in the paint a couple of times...drying with my heat gun again afterwards. (that will give you layers of colors)

I then used my Tim Holtz Halloween stamps to create these fun images.

Below is the same tag, but just at a different angle, catching the light. See how shimmery and cool it looks!

I then stamped an RSVP message on the back. Fill out the info and voila! Fun Halloween invitations!

Hope you guys have enjoyed!
Here is the product breakdown:
Shimmerz Vibez: Fiery Fiesta, Grape Escape, Hermit the Frog
Shimmerz Spritz: Concrete, Purple Passion, Sapphire
Shimmerz Pearlz: Peas B Mine, Green with Envy, Grammie Berrie

Happy Haunting!

Bouy Papa, BOUY!!!

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!
Any big plans for the weekend?

journaling: after gpa told you about the bouys, you had to point every one out and yell, "bouy, papa, BOUY!"

So, this Sass paper is already full of funness! (word? lol) So, just adding a little bit of Shimmerz spritz makes it look like there is ALL KINDS of layers! (also with the help of a few pop dots)

I used a mix of Tuscan Sun, Red-y or Not and Sea Monkey.
You know what I REALLY love about the spritz?? I only use a couple of spritz and I get the coverage I need. If anyone has seen my previous work, you know that I have been a mister for a while. I have always used other mists and Shimmerz has BETTER coverage. You know what that means?? It saves you money.
I love that!!!
What do you love best about Shimmerz?

Boathouse Wine Company

HAPPY FRIDAY, ALL! Today is my first post as the Shimmerz guest designer for September. Are these products amazing and fun or what?! One of the biggest reasons why I instantly fell in love with Shimmerz is how quickly they dry! I have NO patience whatsoever. It was so cool, that I could paint, put it to the side for just a few moments and it would be ready to go!
I couldn't believe it when Dena and Bethany approached me. These girls are so sooo talented and they wanted little ol' me to guest design?! wow!! I had to think about it for like .5 seconds! ;D

I made this chipboard mini album for my cousin Tess. She just graduated highschool and started college at Arkansas State (where I got my degree). This summer her and her girlfriend sang out at a local winery a couple of times.

I used Shimmerz Magenta as half of the background on my cover and stamped it with pretty french wording. (it could be cuss words for all I know...but, it looks pretty!)
I then did a little splatter paint with Vibez Sea Monkey. This has got to be my fave color at the moment. (I am sure it will change by next week...because all their colors are so gorgeous!)

I REALLY love how the background turned out on this page. I first painted the chipboard with Shimmerz Pearlz Peas B Mine and then, using Tim Holtz music mask, sprayed Vibez Red-y or Not. It gave it that purple hue.

Is it next week yet, because I forgot that this color was my favorite too! ha!
I painted this background with Blingz Wintergreen and stamped with those French cuss words again.

So pretty, eh?!

I painted this page with Pearlz Espresso and stamped using Pearlz Peas B Mine

On this page, I misted first (Vibez Red-y or Not), then painted in the negative space (Pearlz Peas B Mine).
Then, I stamped and splattered (Spritz Licorice)

I hope you guys have enjoyed my first Shimmerz project!

Also, don't forget that they are having a DT call for their Educational Blog! Check out the deets here!

HAPPY CREATING!

Please welcome our newest guest designer: Beth Perry!

We at Shimmerz are so proud and lucky to have The Fabulous Beth Perry as our guest designer for the next 2 months. She is cute as a button and filled to the brim with an insane amount of talent. This girl knows how to rock paint!
The author of one of my favortie blogs "Dirty Laundry", Beth has a knack for writing with her funny, quirky sense of humour. Do yourself a favor and check it out too. I guarantee you, you are gonna bookmark it as a favorite!
Here is a little insight about our guest in her own words:

My name is Beth, most of my friends call me B. I live in St. Louis, MO with my boyfriend, Austin, and 2 dogs, Miya and Tucker.
I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago with the encouragement of Austin. I fell in love instantly and never looked back.
I love to paint (acrylic and misting) and alter objects. My forte is definitely mini albums.
I have delved into the art of jewelry making and also love to hunt for vintage treasures.
Wakeboarding is another passion of mine. My family and friends go to our cabin over at Kentucky Lake many times during the summer.
I rarely miss a night of Grey's Anatomy and True Blood and my book shelves are filled with the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Wineries are another must during the summer time, as well as roadtrips, bonfires and camping.

Stay tuned with us for the next few months to see what beautiful creations Beth has in store for us all.
Welcome Welcome to Shimmerz Beth!
