It’s all about the color Green today!
Hello Friends! It’s me Joyce!
While investigating my roots and heritage, a DNA test revealed that I was 22%
I had no idea!
Now I understand why Celtic music has always enchanted me…
it was my heritage tugging at my heart.
So, of course, I was going to create with this knowledge. Some of my favorite elements on this art journal entry are the chipboard pieces, and the background on the typed written pages of the book.
Chipboard: You know those remnants of chipboard you have left after you punch out the shaped piece of chipboard? Some of them look like puzzle pieces, and I thought why not create with those and use them as elements. After painting each puzzle piece and the cross and gear chipboards with gesso, I lightly painted on the chipboard with Olive Branch being carefully to leave a lot of the gesso white around the edges. Then I applied a little bit of Rollin in the Hay around the chipboard and finished off the pieces with some light application of Brass Knuckles to add age to the pieces. Finally, I took a fine black pen and followed around the shapes of the chipboard. For such little work, you can create a some drama on a little piece of raw chipboard.
