Winter canvas with Astrid

Hello Shimmerz friends, are you feeling ready for the holiday?
Today I have a little altered canvas to share with you:
Shimmerz products are just perfect for this kind of project, - the ones I used were:
`Vibez: Snowstorm, Quit Yer Wine-n
Spritz: See Ya Latte
Dazzlerz: Spun Sugar
All available from THE STORE of course
I started by covering my canvas with some opaque matte texture paste, and while still wet stamped into it with a text stamp. I also added some crackle paint.

My main embellishment was created with a mold  (Prima IOD), using paper clay. I adhered it to my canvas with white glue. When everything was dry colour was added with the help of my sprays. The raised bits were high lighted using the Dazzlerz. I love the metallic look that gives. I also added a little cameo that matched in colour.
Here and in the next photo you can see I hope, how the sprays create magical effects as they dry in and on the textures created with the texture pastes.
The snowflakes, used as embellishments were dabbed with the Dazzlerz aswell, it's kind of sticky when wet, so I could sprinkle some glitter onto it (hard to see from the photo).
The photo was cut from one of the Tim Holtz found relative cards with a circle punch. I added some aged silver embossing powder around the edges. It was then mounted on some die-cut ephemera pieces.

Well that's it for today and for this year, as this is my last project in 2016, but I'll see you back in the new year and meanwhile wish you all of the very best for this magical season!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
xxxxx

Fabulous texture and shimmer - I just love how you've embedded the locket, and the wonderful frame to the circular photo. Beautiful, atmospheric canvas, Astrid.
