Landscape by Astrid

Hello all, have you checked out the new website yet? So easy to order now!!
Today I decided to play just with my new Aqua Huez and while I am still learning about them, I decided to create a little watercolour landscape painting....

No step by step photos I'm sorry to say, it was evening when I created this and it's been so dark here anyway, - it was hard enough to get a few half way decent photos even the next day. But I have a few close ups.
I used a piece of cold pressed watercolour paper, spritzt lightly with water, chose my colours (listed as I go along), activated them with a bit of water and just started to play.
I created a circular mask with the help of a punch and painted lightly around it, but because my paper was quite wet, some seeped underneath, so in the end I just took it away and carefully painted some cloudlike formations around it. Colours used here are Very Blueberry, Blue into Town and a tiny bit of Cuppa Joe.
For the trees and the area around them, I used Blue Moon, more Very Blueberry and Chesternut mostly, I gave the trees themselves a bit more definition with my Stabilo All pencil.
This bottom part was mostly done with Blue Moon (a wonderful Indigo sort of colour) Cuppa Joe and tiny bits of Sea Weed.

Well that's it. Hope you like my little painting, and the great thing with these Huez is that you can fill a box with 10 colours of your choice and you get a free water brush to go with it.
Check it out HERE
Well that's it from me for today, thanks for your visit like always and happy painting!!

Wow Astrid, this is just beautiful, I love all the detail of the birds and the trees and even the wire fence in front of the trees. It reminds me of a peaceful Autumn day in the country. I bet you felt really relaxed after painting this. Mo x
