A Good Day | Julee Tilman

Hi Shimmerz friends! It's Julee Tilman, popping in to share another shimmery card creation with you. It's been hot and sunny here in Idaho, so when I sat down to create I knew I wanted to pull out some yellows.

After flipping through my swatches, I decided on a palette of yellows and blues with a hint of green to watercolor this beautiful butterfly floral image.  The colors I used were Winter's Mist, Ultra Marine, Celery, Bumbly Bee, Pumpkin, and Coal Shimmerz. I then accented these colors with Lil' Yellow Skool Bus and Well Blue Me Down Coloringz, Deep Blue Sea Vibez and Bamboo Leaf Spritz. I love how shimmery it looks!

 

After I had painted both the butterfly and the floral image, I  die cut the butterfly and fussy cut the flowers to pop up on foam tape for some dimension, then accented with a few rhinestones.

The background is done using the wet on wet technique with Bumbly Bee, Lil' Yellow Skool Bus, and Pumpkin. A few splatters, a fun sentiment and some holeless sequins finish off the card.

Spring Butterfly | Ericka Strange

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was fun and you had a chance to be creative or enjoy the outdoors. I finally got my garden started which is a little late here in Texas but hoping to have lots of vegetables soon.  Ericka here, and I have a pretty butterfly card using the beautiful Shimmerz DOTZ.  

This was a quick and easy card but I love the look of the Jeni B Bleu and Hermit the Frog Vibez together.

I made a quick background using Bristol Smooth paper and spraying the Vibez making sure to dry each layer in between sprays. I added a little splatter of Ahoy Matey Coloringz at the end and gold heat embossed this intricate butterfly from So Suzy Stamp. 

I love this butterfly Dotz and thought it was the perfect match for my card. I had a piece of scrap paper from a previous Shimmerz card (don't we all save our scraps?) and thought it would make the perfect sentiment strip using a set from Simon Says Stamp.

Dream Butterfly Card with Melissa

Hello Shimmerz Fanz! I'm stopping in today with a card that is full of texture and color. And it is super easy to do.

Here is what you need to get started!

~ Palm Reader and Blue Jeans Vibez
~ Bamboo Leaf Spritz
~ Well Blue Me Down Coloringz
~ Coal Shimmerz
~ Tidy Widy Texturez  

Using a palette knife, spread a thin layer of the Tidy Widy Texturez to your 2 card panels.

                                
When dry, spray the larger panel with the Well Blue Me Down Coloringz and the Palm Reader Vibez. Then when the sprays are dry, add some more Tidy Widy Texturez to the panel.

Next, spray the smaller panel with the Blue Jeans Vibez and Bamboo Leaf Spritz.

When dry, adhere the smaller panel to the center of the larger panel and using the tip of a paint brush or cotton swab, dip into the Coal Shimmerz and lightly tap the brush to give a splatter effect to the card. Finish, embellishing your card.

 
I also added some of the sprays to the butterfly, flower and the seam binding ribbon, as well.

Happy Birthday Butterfly Card

Hi there, Shimmerz friends! It's Melissa here with another fun card made with some amazing Shimmerz Products!

Here are the Shimmerz products I used to make it.

                                                       ~ Spun Sugar Dazzlerz
                                                       ~ Well Blue Me Down Coloringz
                                                       ~ Palm Reader Vibez
                                                       ~ Truffle Spritz

I first sprayed my cardstock randomly with all 3 of the sprays.

Then, when dry, using a palette knife, stencil and some Spun Sugar Dazzlerz, I added some texture to the card front.

I then embellished after everything was dry.

Coloring your own seam binding is super easy with Shimmerz Products too. I just sprayed the white seam binding ribbon with each spray starting with Palm Reader Vibez, then Well Blue Me Down Coloringz and then the Truffle Spritz. I then scrunched the ribbon into a ball and when dry, added it to the card.

Vintage Butterfly Card with Melissa

Hi there Shimmerz Fans! Melissa stopping in today with a fun watercolor effect type of card. And all you need are some Shimmerz Products and your finger! :)

These are the Shimmerz Products I used to make this card:

               ~ Shimmerz Inklingz - Freshly Minted and Corney Flower Blue
               ~ Shimmerz Dazzlerz - Spun Sugar
               ~ Shimmerz Blingz - Pixie Dust

Using your finger, just rub some Freshly Minted and Corney Flower Blue Inklingz onto a piece of white cardstock. You can also use a brush or palette knife but you get more of a water color effect when you just spread it on with your finger.

Next, using a stencil, add some Spun Sugar Dazzlerz. I just placed the stencil randomly over the card front and using a palette knife, spread some of the Spun Sugar over the top of it.

After everything is dry, you can add some stamped vintage ephemera, pearls and flowers to dress it up. To give it even more shimmer and sparkle, I added some Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz to the flowers and die cut butterfly. The bottom layer of the butterfly was made the same way as the card front. I just die cut the butterfly when it was dry.
