Yup! Scrapbook layout | Katty Miranda

Hello friends! Katty here to share a 12x12 scrapbook layout. I found this funny picture of my younger son on my moms phone and I had to scrap it. I pulled out the Simple Stories Life in Color Collection and chose some coordinating colors to use in my background.
I added a thin layer of gesso to a yellow paper from the collection. This helped to strengthen the paper. I then used the good ole packaging technique on top of the gesso.
I picked several colors that coordinate with the Life in Color Collection, I used a spritz in Ruby, a vibes in Jeni B Blue and Coloringz in Peachy Keen, Well Blue me Down and Oh Say Can U Sea.
I also used one of the Dazzlerz in the color Licorice Stick through  a plus sign stencil to add some fun texture. I also added some splatters in a couple of the colors.
I then added embellishments from the collection all around my photo. Including some chipboard frames and stickers. I added a few simple layers behind the photo. I love how it turned out.
Products Used:

Spritz: Ruby
Vibez: Jeni B Blue

A Birthday should be full of sparkle

Hi Everyone, it is Beck BT here and today and while we are delving into those Christmas papers and embellishments I decided to take a little of a different spin with them and create a Birthday card.  The paper collection I used for this card is called 'Christmas Promise'.  By using the papers as the 'supporting actor' I made my Shimmerz Dazzlerz the main start of the show.

Shimmerz Products used-

Dazzlers Spun Sugar
Sour Apple
Licorice Stick
Coral Me Crazy

To create the star background I stenciled Dazzlers Spun Sugar, Sour Apple, Licorice Stick and Coral Me Crazy.  To achieve a softer colour green I mixed a little Sour Apple into the Spun Sugar Dazzlerz.  I also softened the colour of the Licorice Stick Dazzlers by mixing the left over mixed green colour into it before stenciling.

While still wet I added a sprinkle of glitter over the top.  This added a beautiful sparkle to the finished card, while also diffusing the darker colour as well.

I hope you enjoyed my share today and found some inspiration.

Don't forget to mention my name when you order for some free product!  WOOT!

Till next time
