Hello, Rubeena here from A Rare Ruby with my second post as Creative Design Team member! In today's post, I will be focusing on Inklingz and Creameez watercolors.
Check out my new storage for them in my Ikea Alex drawers!!
Once I find some free time, I'll be sure to do some swatches and organization so I know which colors are which. They are so easy and fun to use. You simply add some water and mix it to use as watercolors. These are the colors I used in today's cards:
For my first card, I simply watercolored some lines across watercolor paper. I covered it with this die-cut cover plate, added sentiments, splatters and some clear droplets.
For my second card, I wanted to try watercoloring an image. This rose was perfect practice:
After watercoloring the image, I fussy-cut it and placed it over my card base with foam tape. I added a word die-cut and then finished it off with more splatters and clear droplets. The shimmer on this card is subtle and lovely in person! I wish you could capture it in a photo though.
For my final card, I colored the same rose, except I went a bit darker. I added details with white and black pens. This one I kept as a one-layer card.
You can see a bit of the shimmer in this close-up!
I loved working with these watercolor products and look forward to sharing more about them as I learn to use them. Have you tried them? Let us know what you think! If you place an order, don't forget to mention my name Rubeena in the notes to get yourself a freebie! Thanks for stopping by! Until next time.
