Shimmery Sweet

For today's post, I would love to share a layout that I did for a new challenge site, The Color Room, which our amazing Lucy Edson is one of their amazing team, The challenge was to incorporate specific colors in your layout. So what is the better way to play with colors, SHIMMERZ Paints of course!!!!

So for my layout, I have used several Shimmerz products to my page with American Crafts Letterbox line. I used a photo of my cute niece in black & white so that it will pop out from all the colors that I'll be using.


The first step that I did was using a screen like mesh to use as a template for my background. I covered the entire cardstock with the mesh screen and sprayed Shimmerz Vibez (Sunset Strip) randomly. When it dried up, I removed the mesh and it produced a lovely effect on the cardstock.


Here I have added Shimmerz Paint (Blueberry Cobbler) onto the felt Prima stems. I love the sparkly effect it added to the stems and the texture is just amazing. I have also painted the word "FACES" with Shimmerz Blingz (Hottie Pink).


For the bicycle, I initially covered it with Distress Crackle paint before applying Shimmerz (Choc-o-lot) to it. Love the combination of it.
