I first drew a butterfly and then I scanned it. Using Adobe Photoshop CS4, I duplicated the butterfly several times and re-sized them all to different measurements. I printed it out and cutout the butterflies pieces. Using a non-permanent glue tape, I adhered each butterfly on my background paper. I used a combination of Treasured Hymn, Tuscan Sun and Sea Foam Spritz.
Then using the same butterfly templates, I made a 3 dimensional butterfly and sprayed it with Shimmerz Vibez's Sunset Strip and painted some parts with Golden Wheat Shimmerz.
You will definitely love the effects of the Shimmerz products on your layout. You should try it for yourself! With its intense shimmer and shine your layout will look more vibrant and alive. So what are you waiting for?! Start making your own backgrounds. No need to buy masking templates, create your own design. It will be very fun especially using Shimmerz products with it.
Thanks for dropping by!

Fab LG love the photoshop technique and use of Shimmerz on the project. I just got this paper last night. And had the same idea to create that background you have the photo on. Love it!!
