Yummy Spiced Cider

Spiced Cider Blingz that is! And isn't that a delicious name? The color is gorgeous too! I thought I'd combine a traditional holiday stamp with a couple nontraditional holiday colors! I didn't use red and green or silver and blue, instead, I went with Spiced Cider Blingz and a bit of black and white! I think it gives the card a great rich flavor!

For the main image, stamped the Lizzie Anne Designs Silent Night image on white paper and embossed with black embossing powder. Then I painted the entire piece with Spiced Cider Blingz. Once the paper was dry enough to handle, I carefully wiped the embossed image off. For the 'patterned paper' in the background, I used the same white paper and Blingz, but this time, I did a technique similar to smacking acetate - or at least that is what I think it is called! I splotched up a piece of acetate with the Blingz, then turned it over and pressed it onto the white paper. I did this until the white paper was completely covered with the Blingz. The paper is very shimmery, and because I used the acetate, the Blingz dried with a bumpy 3D texture. There are some larger glimmering particles in it, which make it even more shimmery! I think it looks pretty darn fabulous!
