Hello Shimmerz friends! So glad you're here this morning--I have a new layout so share for the Shimmerz creative team.
Who doesn't love a bright happy rainbow of colors, am I right?
As is the case with the majority of my layouts I began with a sheet of thick smooth white cardstock covered with clear gesso.
I went in rainbow order adding all the pretty Shimmerz colors to create the rainbow on my background.
*Vibez-Chip Mauve The Ol' Block
*Vibez-Elfin Magic
*Coloringz-Freshly Squeezed
*Coloringz-Lil Yellow Skool Bus
*Color Splash-Swoon in The Lagoon
*Creameez-Witches Blue
*Shimmerz-Sugar Plum
For the blue in my rainbow I mixed the Witches Blue with the Swoon In The Lagoon and it was the perfect blue.
Mixing and blending the colors is one of my favorite things and I love how my rainbow turned out.
Once I had my rainbow finished I decided to add some texture using an Echo Park stencil and some Lunar Paste.
I knew I wanted to make a shaker for this layout because I had these awesome 'm&m' sprinkles from Glitter Makes It for just that reason. I really love shakers but rarely make them. I think this one turned out cute and absolutely perfect for this layout.
I really enjoyed the creative process on this layout. I even used a couple of stickers that are at least 10 years old and that is always a bonus!
I used a die for the stars and then outlined them with an acrylic paint pen in white. I think it really helped them stand out.
I'll leave a link here directly to the Shimmerz store just in case you're interested in purchasing any of the paints I used on this layout. You can leave the name of your favorite Shimmerz designer in the comment section of your order for a little freebie included with your order.
We love to see anything you create using Shimmerz products so be sure and share them on the Shimmerz Paints Sharez group on fb or tag us on Instagram.
Happy crafting!
-Rhonda
