Hello Jennifer here sharing my first layout of May using the new Shimmerz color kitz paints and papers. This is an 11x8 1/2 landscape design layout.
When I start a layout I choose the photo first. I thought about this photo of my mom with her daughters and how perfect it would be with these cool Bobo vibe papers. I am the baby in the photo. My mom took me to have photos taken and the photographer talked her into taking this free father's day photo. This photo lived in my dad's wallet for years that's the wear and tear you see on it. It's the only photo, the free wallet.
To create my layout I started with the pattern paper that has a golden yellow mix media look on half of it. I cut it down to 10.5 x 8 inches. I fussy cut the fussy cutting sheet and the pretty daisy paper. I added a few chipboard flowers and hearts.
I used the golden wheat Shimmerz on the sun along with the egg noggin and distressed the edges. I added yellow enamel dots around the sun and a dotz in the middle. I stamped in the background with chip Mauve the ol'block. I splattered just a little of all three in the background including white acrylic paint. Final touch sequins in matching colors. Journaling will be added to the bottom right corner.
