Shimmerz Paints

 Today is Your Day - Joanne Bartell 

Hello friends! Joanne here today sharing a layout for Shimmerz Paints design team! Using Shimmerz on your layouts adds extra color, shine and that little extra sparkle!  

I used the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Weathered Garden collection to create this fabulous layout of my great niece's first day of school. She is so beautiful.

The Shimmerz Products I used are: 

• Inklingz Good as Gold
• Inklingz Emerald City (one of my favorites!)
• Inklingz Precious Posey

I love using scrap pieces of paper on my layouts. I put a border of paper on each side of my layout, along with a border punch stripe. I then came in with a stencil and blended some Emerald City around the top left corner cluster. 

I designed two clusters around my photo, but before adhering it down, I came in with a makeup dobber (from the Dollar Store) and lightly dabbed the Precious Posey around the edges of my entire cluster. 

Final touches on the layout was adding a ton and I mean a ton of splatters with Good as Gold. I think adding gold splatters right on the embellishment clusters, especially the butterflies, is beautiful. For an extra touch of purple, I blended Precious Posey around the outside borders of my butterflies.
