Hello Everyone! Sara with you today sharing with you my very favorite, and the easiest, painted background to create.
First, you need paint...lots of paint. Match them to your photo, to the collection you would like to use..whatever sparks your creativity.. I chose all the golds and pinks I could find in my collection. (specific colors are linked below)
For this background you will need clean water, flat paintbrushes, and some nice thick paper.(I like hot press watercolor paper) and then we paint.
Load up your paintbrush with with each color. Paint a nice thick stripe with each color, washing your paintbrush between colors. Repeat colors as needed until you have a fully painted full sheet of paper.
Allow the paper to dry thoroughly, (overnight is best), then use your favorite neutral sprays or paints to splatter.
See?? Easy! Once your background is dry, your ready to create your layout.

I kept the embellishments to a minimum, going with a loose diagonal design. And I kept a lot of the
embellishments and papers in black and white.
That lets the photos and the beautiful background shine!
I'd love to see your take on this technique! Come join us in the FB group and show me how it looks!
Have A Lovely Day!
