Spring flowers a card by Astrid

Hello Shimmerz friends and thanks for your visit. I have a card to share with you today:
This card started with two separate smaller ones, neither of which I liked enough to let it be a project in its own right.
This was the first one. I stamped some wild flower stamps, first in Versa Mark and then clear embossed them. I then stamped them again in lighter colours and then created the background with various colours of Aqua Huez For this panel I used Cuppa Joe, Chesternut, Pot-O-Gold, Blue Me Away and Blue Moon.
Next I created the second panel:
This time I stamped and embossed in black and  in addition to the colours used above I also used Perfectly Purple and Red Hot.

Then I created a backing piece. For that I used 3 colours of Vibez Sprays: Egg Noggin, Rolling in the Hay and a little Before Dawn.
I started with an 8 x 8 " piece of scrapbook paper and added some stencilling with texture paste. When it had dried I added colour with my chosen sprays.
I deepened some of the colour wit the Before Dawn spray and a brush, adding shadows around the edges and between some of the textured parts.
Then all that was left to do was to layer it all up together and mount it on some strong backing card.
A punched butterfly was added to the backing panel still, to compliment the butterfly on one of the smaller panels.
And of course a little sentiment, stamped and fussy cut was adhered to one of the panels too.
Well, that's it for today. Don’t forget, if you mention my name in the "comments" section of your shopping cart when placing your Shimmerz order you will receive free paint. Shop Shimmerz HERE and connect with us on Facebook, too!

This is a lovely card Astrid, I like all your panels individually but by combining the three cards together as one allow the 3 panels to compliment each other beautifully. I love the soft tones of the sprays on the back panel which allow the brighter colours of the hues on the front two take center stage. Mo x

A gorgeous piece Astrid!! I loved both of the smaller cards on their own but they do look stunning layered together on the third panel. The soft colours on the background panel beautifully complements the brighter colours on the front panels .. Love, love, love!!

The two cards work so well together with the echo of the flower shapes, and then the setting on the page is lovely with the soft neutral butterfly and text texture.
