Happy {Inter}National Scrapbooking Day!

Here's hoping you are getting some creative time to yourself this weekend! :)

I wanted to share with you one more page I created using Shimmerz Paints and Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers.

Papers and die cuts are from the Quite Contrary "Little Miss Muffet" collection by My Mind's Eye.

In nature, flowers are more than one color blending together from the flower center towards the edges. This is the look I wanted to create on these paper flowers. I began by using Key Lime Shimmerz paint in my flower center. This is one of my very favorite Shimmerz colors. I pull it out A LOT to add definition to my premade flowers.

Next, I painted the centers of the flower petals using Burgundy Shimmerz paint. I used my finger to dab and blend the paint into the Key Lime center to make it look more natural.

Finally, the edges of my flowers are defined with Hottie Pink Blingz. I love the way they turned out! Infact, I loved them so much, I didn't want to cover them up with a flower center so I opted to use clear buttons.

Thanks for stopping by today!
