Do much good...

Such a simple sentiment, yet so meaningful at the same time. That's why I decided to put it on my newest Shimmerz project. This hanging wall board was made using a large chipboard shape, patterned paper, cardstock and an embossing machine, clear Melissa Frances acrylic stamps, lace, buttons, bows, and of course lots of Shimmerz paints (remember to click photos for close ups.)

After embossing the cardstock I used the "Pixie Dust" Shimmerz on the entire piece then adhered it to the patterned paper on the chipboard base. Then I did some machine stitching to the papers.

I stamped the flower images onto cardstock by applying slightly watered down acrylic paints directly to the stamps. You have to work quickly, but it makes for a fun watercolor type technique. I used 2 colors for my flowers--red and off white. Once the paint was on the stamp I quickly add a couple of swipes of matching Shimmerz (use different brushes so that you don't mix acrylic paint into your Shimmerz if you work right out the jars like I do.) I used "Pink Poinsettia" for my flowers.

For my leaves I added both the "Wintergreen" and "Golden Wheat". As you can tell, I am not afraid to mix my Shimmerz! ;-)

I also applied the "Pixie Dust" to the branches on the piece and fell in love (I can't wait to use this on branches and twigs for winter projects!) For the silk flower I used the same colors of paints and Shimmerz, because there's nothing cooler than changing the color of a flower and adding some shimmer!

Have a great day,
Linda :-)
