Good Vibes using the August Color Kitz Bundle

Hey all!  Nicole here with my second layout using the fabulous August Color Kitz Bundle.  I am documenting some fun we had in Japan while playing the claw machines.

The first thing I did for this layout was to make the background.  I actually started with the wavy paper from the kit and cut 5" strips of waves.  I then lined them up on the left side of the paper and distressed them.  Then I used 4 of the 5 paints that we got in the kit to make bursting rays on the right side of the page.

Next I added my photos with some mats made with paper from the kit.  I also distressed these and popped them up on foam.

 Lastly I added embellies from the kit, including: die cuts, stickers and a dotz.  I finished of with some journaling and then made some doodle hearts around my clusters.

Rainy Day Using the August Color Kitz Bundle

 Hey all, Nicole here with my first layout using the August Color Kitz Bundle!  I am documenting a rainy day while we were exploring the streets of Tokyo!  

 The first thing that I did for this layout was make the background.  I used all the colors from the kit to make this rainbow and added some dots at the ends of the rainbow.  You can watch me make this background here: https://youtu.be/FKpTiBzDSCo

Next I paper pieced my layout together and added my pics.  I tore the bottom of the rainbow paper and added the polka dotted paper to the bottom.  I distressed my photos and popped them up on foam tape.  I then added my title down in the lower right corner.

 Lastly I added all the embellies from the kit.  It includes die cuts, stickers, and little dotz.  I then splattered with Black Hole paint.

August 2025 Color Kitz | Groovy | Stephanie Dang

  Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie Dang, and I'm back on the blog today to share my project using this month’s color kitz. This kit is so fun and filled with beautiful splashes of yellow, green, orange, red, and turquoise. Perfect for documenting your summer festivities! You will find all supplies to recreate the layout at the bottom of my blog post.

Step 1: Start with the turquoise background. Take the white pattern paper with the sun and trim access white to create a layer on top of the turquoise. Add gesso and let dry.

Step 2: Add the following colors to background: Coloringz (Scarlett's Fever), Coloringz ( Oh Say CAn You See), and this month exclusive color: Shimmerz (Fire + Ice). Use water and waterbrush to move colors around. Letting it dry in between colors.

Step 3: Add pattern paper and tearing edges off as seen along with a framed photo.

Step 4: Add playful embellishments as seen starting with larger die cuts to small die cuts. Finish with title and subtitles.

For The Shimmerz Paints Design Team, Summer Flowers

To make this page, I stenciled Prima Platinum Texture Paste with a small spatula onto watercolor paper.All the fussy cut images are from Graphic 45. I taped on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat,and made a mat also. I took a piece of corrugated cardboard,ripped some of the paper off, and brushed on white gesso.

I sprinkled on ultra thick embossing powder into the wet gesso and heated it with a heat gun.

 I added layers of corrugated cardboard in between the layers, and glued on beads and other items. I brushed on Shimmerz Paints. I rubbed on gold,and pearl mica powder on different  areas. 

To add visual interest I added microbeads, seed beads, glass beads,sequins,tulle,pearls, copper leaf, iridescent wrapping paper, crystals,  glass glitter, and bling and metal from my stash. 

      Many of the items are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.   

I used mostly colors from the July 2025 Color Kitz Collection:

Inklingz:  She Packs A Punch, Old Yeller.

Shimmerz:  Carrot Top,Sunny, and Evergreen.

July 2025 Color Kitz | Summer: Soak Up The Sun | Stephanie Dang

Step 1: Start with the black and white background. Layer on the citrus paper and the lime green diamond paper.

Step 2: Trim down the white with blue hearts down to make sure it layers nicely on the others. Do not glue down. We need to prep that layer with clear gesso and let it dry.

Step 3: Working with Inklingz (Old Yeller), a waterbrush, water, swirl, and move that color all around the page as seen. Tapping a few splatters around the page. Take Shimmerz (Pip-Pip Cherry-O), and only add splatters to the top right and bottom left of corners.  Let dry and adhere to layout.

Step 4: Add the acetates at an angle to layout. Add the frame and photo as seen.

Step 5: Add Add the title, subtitles, and other embellishments to layout. Finishing with enamels.
