Hello Gourdgeous using the October Color Kitz Bundle

Hey all, Nicole here with my second layout of the month.  This time I'm doing fall themed with the October Color Kitz Bundle.  I am documenting my gourdgeous daughter.

The first thing I did for this layout was coloring these leaves and foliage from the coloring sheet with the paints that come in the kit.  For the leaves I just used all the colors (except purple) and they turned out amazing!

I then did my paper piecing. I picked out some fall themed papers from the kit and arranged them on my page, making sure to distress the edges.  I also grabbed some leaves from the die cut pack included with the kit.

I arranged my fall foliage around my pic and a little cluster towards the bottom of the page.  I then added my title from my stash.  I decided to use the Sunkissed pant from the kit and add some shadowing under my clusters.  I then finished by splattering some Goldie Lox Shimmeringz from my stash.

Thanks so much for coming on here to read about my layout.  I hope it gets you in a painty mood.  I also have a process video that you can watch here: https://youtu.be/3fxQ1zBJhv8

If you decided to grab this kit or anything else in the shop you can use my name Nicole in the shopping cart to receive a little freebie with your order.  Here are the links to the products I used here:

Spooky Spider | October 2021 Color Kitz | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper back with you today sharing a new layout using the super gorgeous October 2021 Color Kitz!  Unfortunately, these kitz are sold out and I'm not sure if they're doing a restock so makes sure to snag them as soon as they're released so you don't miss out!  Make sure to check out my process video at the end of this post so that you can see how this page came together.  Here's my layout:

To start, I cut the cut file from the kit out on white textured cardstock and painted it using the I'm Not Limon Inklingz and the Carrot Top Shimmerz.

Next, I got to work on my background and took a thick piece of white cardstock and painted it using the Black Magic Shimmerz, Plum Tuckered Out Vibez and Thunder Storm Creameez.  I also made sure to add in some splatters for extra interest.  Once my background was dry, I popped the entire cut file up on foam tape and adhered it down.  I love how it turned out!

I pulled out the Dotz from the kit and adhered those down around my page.  I use them as cluster markers and added embellishments around them.  I also added tangled thread under each one.  Not only does it give more color to each cluster, but it provides another textural element.  For this layout, I used the Monsters and Friends collection by Bella Blvd.  One of my favorites!

Next, I took the wood veneer stars from the kit and painted them using the Black Magic Shimmerz and made sure to scrape the glitter left on my brush onto each one.  I didn't want to miss an opportunity to add more sparkle to these stars!  I added those into my clusters and really love that nice pop of black around my page.

Here's a couple more up close shots to see all of the layers and shimmer.

Check out the process video below:

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Make sure to add my name in the notes/comments section of your next order to receive a free gift!  See you in my next post friends!

I Got this Feelin' | October Color Kitz | Niki Rowland

Hey everyone, this is Niki @nikiclairecreates and I have a new layout and process video to share today using the October Color Kitz. I’ve used the cut file and made a fun Halloween layout.

I started with a sheet of white card and chose three colours from the October Color Kitz: Plum Pudding Spritz, Taupe of the Mornin’ Vibez and Love Ocean #9 Vibez. I love those three colours together as they really seem Halloween-y to me! I decided to go bold and intense with these colours on my layout. I therefore sprayed them directly onto my layout – I kept the spray very close which gave me really intense areas of colour. I created three distinct blocks of colour and then left them to dry.

Once dry I wrapped baker’s twine around the layout, tone on tone style. I positioned the cut file and photo onto my background. I love this month’s cut file – it’s so fun! I cut it in black and then simply placed it onto my layout without backing it, because I wanted the fabulous colours to shine through the letters. I love how the little skeleton sits on the top edge of my photo!

I added my photo together with a few layers of paper and embellishments. I added a couple of acrylic Perspextives words: Haunting in the turquoise colour, and Wicked in the purple colour. I also added an acrylic cat to the photo.

I fussy cut some ghosts and from a Pebbles Spoooky paper and positioned them onto my layout like they were flying around. I added a few more bits of ephemera from various Halloween collections too. I also added one of the Dotz: the black one with a ghost – perfect! And one of the cute pom pom paper clips to my photo.

I finished off with a few splatters and I also stuck on some wooden stars. I then painted those the same three colours I used on the background, using the three Shimmerz colors.

Thank you so much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed this layout, don’t forget to check out the process video below and have an amazing Halloween!

Happy scrapping

Niki xx
