Hello, friends! A super busy layout like this is unusual for me to create but I am so happy with how this one turned out. So often I let the papers inspire my design and this is an excellent example of that. I would never have created this layout without the gorgeous products in the August Color Kitz!
I began by fussy cutting the flamingos from one of the papers then looping their necks together to make it look like they are hugging. Then I cut a circle from the center of another paper and placed the flamingos as though they are coming out of the circle.
Next, I used several colors from the kit and some from my stash to drybrush a sunset background on white cardstock inside the circle. From bottom to top those are Coloringz-Sunny Side Up, Coloringz-TangyTangerine, Creameez-Trippin In The Tropics, Vibes-Pink Moscato, and Vibes-Don't Rain On My Parade
I decided I needed some dimensional florals so I found a rolled flower on Cricut Design Space that I like. I colored it with Coloringz-Tangy Tangerine and Creameez-Trippin In The Tropics before I removed them from my cutting mat. I also painted a swatch of white cardstock with Shimmerz-Jilted Jade then die-cut some tropical leaves.
Finally, I placed my title and some of the ephemera pieces around my photo and that completed this layout.
Don't forget to check out the August Color Kitz in the Shimmerz Shop. And add my name to your order for a FREE product! You can also check out my process video on YouTube, link below.
Enjoy!
xoxo
