Times Like These - Joanne Bartell

Hi friends! Have you seen the amazing May  2024 Color & Paper Kitz? They are absolutely gorgeous! The die cuts are just amazing, and boy do I love using blue on my layouts! Navy is my favorite. 

I started off coloring in the florals from the new Color Page (how cool). I also colored some white card stock and die cut some leaves to add to the beautiful clusters. 

I used the sponge technique to add colors to my background. That technique is so fun and easy. Try it some time. The die cuts made creating clusters so easy!

Celebrate | Brandy Vaughn | May 2024 Color Kitz

I have been waiting for the perfect products to come along for this photo. I knew instantly the May Color Kitz are exactly what I had been waiting for. 

I went straight for the color page and painted some roses then fussy cut them. I pulled out the other roses and some leaves from the ephemera pack. Then I decided that the scalloped cut file would make a beautiful frame for the photo.  

Once I arranged the flowers and leaves where I wanted them, I dipped a paintbrush in the Spritz "Powder Puff" and added some more color coming out from under the florals. Then I added my title and some gems and this one was done. It came together so quickly and easily!

Times Like These Make My Heart Happy | May 2024 | Shannon Allor

 Hello friends!  It's Shannon up on the blog today bringing you this lovely layout featuring the May 2024 Color Kitz, Paper Kitz and Bonuz Bundle.  I love that this color palette is perfect for any occasion!

I seriously wanted to use all of the things on this layout!  I fussy cut the large floral border on the left and tore the gorgeous patterned paper on the right.  I spent a bit of time fussy cutting more florals to decorate that gorgeous pattern.

I layered the stunning Dotz with lots of ephemera and Sequinz.  

I finished off the clusters with a few splatters.

Take a look at my large photo mat.  I created simple paint strips and added a few splatters for texture!

I love to have extra dimension on my projects.  I used a bit of craft foam to create shadows.

I cannot wait to see what you create with these fabulous products!

Hello friends!  It's Shannon up on the blog today bringing you this fun layout featuring the May 2024 Color Kitz, Paper Kitz and Bonuz Bundle.  I am loving the fab color palette this month!

I love that we had two cutfiles to play with.  I chose the circular cutfile and sized it quite large.  I then went to town with all of the mixed media goodies.  I kept the technique simple with a bit of spraying and splatter.

You can see here that I used the reverse scallop bits from the cutfile for a bit of interest.

I love when we have little frame ephemera.  It is perfect to create dramatic shaker pockets!

I am smitten with the coloring page that was in the kit!  I love layering and 

mixing   the Color Kitz and getting new tones.

I had myself a time with this beautifully curated collection!

100 Days of School | Sarah Millerhouse | April 2024 Color Kitz

Hello! It’s Sarah Millerhouse here, and I am so excited to share another layout using the beautiful April Color Kitz!

For this layout, I started with matte opaque texture paste on the background. I applied it to my mixed media cardstock in a thick layer, using my palette knife. I then used a bench scraper to slice lines horizontally through the paste while it was still wet. This gave me some thick, perfectly imperfect lines going across for added texture. Once it dried, I added Coloringz - Well Blue Me Down and Coloringz - Sunny Side Up on top of the texture paste, letting it mix and bland a little along the lines. 

I layered on patterned paper from the April Color Kitz Paper collection and added my two photos. I then created the title using Creameez - Piggy Pink, Coloringz - Sunny Side Up, and Creameez - Luck O The Irish (Bonuz Bundle) and stamps from CraftyMe. I love the layered number stamps and how they look with all the Shimmerz goodness behind them. I finished the title with letters from my stash and ephemera from the April colllection. 

I used patterned paper from the April collection and a past Shimmerz Paints cutfile to cut the layered flowers for the page. I love how these look cut from patterned paper and white cardstock as the flower border. 

To finish the page, I used the sequins from the Bonuz Bundle and Pops of Color to add a few extra details.
