Wintry journal page with Astrid

Hello Shimmerz friends! Today I have a little wintry journal spread to share with you.
This is a page in my mini journal created with the help of the Eileen Hull minibook die.
At this time of year we are all looking for quick and easy projects right? Well, this could easily be adapted for a card as well of course.

I started with a piece of neutral coloured Scrapbook paper, gave it a coat of clear gesso and when dry added colour with 3 different sprays and also one of the Dazzlers, a shimmering dimensional paint:
All of these sprays are subtly different, do check out the Shimmerz Shortz, you can find them at the top of each different section on the website.
Anyway, back to my project: I sprayed my tree spays, mainly aiming and the center of my pages, dries with my heatgun and then used the Dazzler paints with my finger to create some texture and of course wonderful shimmer.

Well, as you can see already, - next came some snowflakes, created by scraping the Dazzler through a stencil, while the paint was still wet I then added some Distress Glitter in Vintage Platinum, for some extra sparkle.

Now for some embellishments: I cut various leaf dies from white card, sprayed them with my sprays, but because this time the card had not been coated with clear gesso, the colour sunk in much faster and the tones became a little deeper.

I again dabbed on some of the Dazzlerz and sprinkled on some glitter for some additional texture and sparkle.
Some words, using Tim Holtz small tal stickers were given a little more depth by going around them with a small paintbrush dipped in the Don't Be Suede Coloringz, and that was pretty much it.

I love this particular wintry colour combination, if you would like to get your hands on some, - it's easy: Just click here

Thanks for your visit today and have fun with your own holiday crafting!

Stunning work here as always Astrid. These pages are sooo elegant, even they´re kept pretty simple, but the silver m,makes it look really elegant and expensive somehow, and it´s just fab ulous. Stunning work hun.
