A Shabby Card with Astrid

Hello lovely friends of Shimmerz, today I want to share a shabby chic card with you, using some lovely warm autumnal scrapbook papers and of course my Shimmerz products.
These are the products I used:

Spritz: Treasured Hymn
Shimmeringz: Bronzed Bombshell
Coloringz: Night Moves
Inklingz: Tarnished Trease and Angel's Kiss
All available from the paint store of course, all you need to do is click HERE
I started by selecting the main elements of my card and putting them together. I then gave them a coat of clear gesso, - this so the sprays would be easier to mix and blend on the papers.
As you can see, I chose Shimmerz products that would match the original paper elements.
Next I selected a number of diecuts and embellishments I thought I would use and gave them a coat of gesso
I adhered them to my project, moving them around until I was more or less happy with the result.
Then it was time for the fun part, playing with all those shimmering sprays and paints to blend it all together as you can see below.
I am sorry to say, because these products have such a wonderful subtle shimmer, it's not easy to get good photographs that do them justice, at least with my limited photographic skills, but below are a few more detailed shots that hopefully will give you an idea of what it looks like in real life...
I added a few seed beads still using gel medium for a little more texture.
I love the subtle effect of the sprays on the leaves that before just appeared flat and boring.
I had given the chippie a coat of crackle paint before painting with Tarnished Treasure.

And here the finished card, all mounted and ready to give to someone special.

Thanks for your visit like always, happy crafting and don’t forget, if you mention my name in the "comments" section of your shopping cart when placing your Shimmerz order you will receive free paint of your choice
.

This is such an awesome card here Astrid, really beautiful in every little detail. And even it is hard to see, you can still see some of that glittery shimmer to it here, and it looks fabulous as always hun.
Sooo good to see you back here again.

A beautiful card that some lucky person is going to treasure! You have done a beautiful job bringing texture and depth to those papers. My favorite is that crackled book plate! Welcome back! I need to do some catching up here myself. I have been a very sporadic blogger at best, as I enjoyed the last of the summer moments with my family. Hopefully, I will be back to regular blogging myself. Thank you for taking your precious time to come visit my blog! Hugs!
