Adding Detail to Shimmerz-ed Backgrounds Part I

So you remember in my last post I showed you some of the backgrounds I created using my lovely shimmerz. Well today I wanted to show you what I did with some of those backgrounds and how the backgrounds are what really make the journal pages.

Look at how these blues and greens came to life, using just a few scraps of paper and some lettering:

Without a doubt this spread (next two pictures) was one of my favorites ...

Remember those chanderliers, oh how I hated to cover them up with too much detail ... sometimes you just need to know when it's enough!

This makes me think of cotton candy - love the pink and green combintation. That magenta pink paper by the way is candy wrapper! - Godiva chocolates no less!!!

Sometimes a few words (or letters) and beautiful papers are all you need to add to the background...

And this blue is the blue that had mega texture - I received a lot of questions/comments on this one. This spread came together so easily.
Up close and personal ...

Pink is good - pink is always good ...

have tons more pages to show you which I'll do in Part II on June 7th - stay tuned!
