Summer is almost over!

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over. My girls have a little less than a week before they go back to school,  so we're trying to make the most of every minute of our time together.  Going swimming at my parents' house is one of our regular summer activities.  I have tons of pool pictures from the past years.  This is a layout I did recently with a photo from 2005 (no, I don't scrap chronologically).

The papers and chipboard are Lily Bee.  I used a sheet of KI Memories lace cardstock as a mask with Sea Foam Spritz and Jeni B Blue Vibez to create the background:

Here's another pool layout with a photo from last summer (you can see that my girls are much bigger than in the photo above . . . *sigh* . . . they grow so fast).  

This layout was published in the August issue of Scrapbooks, Etc.  It's a very "clean and simple" layout, so it needed just a little sumpin' sumpin.'   Shimmerz is the perfect product when you need to add a little pizazz to an otherwise simple page.  I used Tickle-Me-Turquoise mixed with Pixie Dust on the chipboard flourish.
